For Trying Out Loud: The Infertility Years

I came across this podcast, on the search for shows to share with my local TTC peeps. Why I chose to listen to this one first, the cover image. It already “looked” like it was going to be a fun show to check out. I have listened to countless other shows, and but there’s something more authentic and fun, because of course infertility is loads of fun! I value so much that partners are an essential part of the conversation with Ewen and Romana. Talk about breaking the stigma, now that I’m all caught up, I look forward to more discussions on normalizing the conversations. I also value learning about the NHS system, and the abroad opportunities (I’m US based). Keep on rocking’, and fingers are crossed for you love birds.

I love this couple. They're not scared to get down to the nitty gritty about both their infertility experience and how it has affected/affects their relationship. I am going on 41 and worrying that we have left it too late to start trying and we will have to go through the same process. I also worry about the cost implications due to being over 40. I think my husband is in the same position Ewan was in before they agreed to start trying and I hope I'm able to persuade him to listen to this podcast. I don't think it's something that men talk about with each other or take the time to research for themselves (in my experience anyway). Thank you for your honesty, keep up the good work and I look forward to the next one!

This podcast has grown on me. They are very vulnerable and it makes it easier to connect with them than some other fertility/infertility podcasts. Theirs is a very real story and while I’m SO routing for them, it’s a relief to hear stories of others who didn’t just have success immediately.

Not sure if this podcast is supposed to be about fertility and TTC, or just a couple reminiscing about their relationship? Rather boring and not informational/educational. Listening to the podcast felt like reading a really long open forum post.
