Episode 498, The Andrew Parker Show - The Gaza Genocide Narrative: What the Star Tribune Intentionally Fails to Tell You

In Episode 498 of The Andrew Parker Show, Andrew Parker takes on what he argues is a deeply misleading narrative surrounding Israel, Gaza, and accusations of genocide — and examines how that narrative is being amplified by institutions many Americans consider authoritative. At the center of the episode is a recent Star Tribune article about the University of Minnesota's $250,000 settlement with Israeli-American historian Raz Segal after the University rescinded its offer for him to lead its Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies. Segal has described Israel's actions in Gaza as genocide, and Andrew challenges both that characterization and the way the Star Tribune presented the controversy.  Andrew also examines the newspaper's reliance on the United Nations as an authority on Israel, reviewing what he describes as a decades-long pattern of disproportionate UN resolutions targeting the Jewish state. He argues that readers deserve far more context when UN commissions, casualty figures, and conclusions about Israel are presented as authoritative.  The episode goes deeper into the genocide accusation itself: What does genocide mean under international law? Does Israel's military campaign against Hamas meet that definition? What role do civilian casualties, humanitarian aid, Hamas's tactics, and the realities of urban warfare play in answering that question? Andrew lays out five arguments for why he believes the genocide charge does not withstand scrutiny.  Finally, Andrew closes with a different perspective from the Arab world, sharing the story and message behind The Arab Case for Israel and its author's journey from accepting what he had been taught about Israel to questioning those assumptions for himself.  When does reporting cross the line from presenting facts to reinforcing a narrative? And how can readers distinguish between credible evidence, institutional authority, and repetition? Listen now to Episode 498 of The Andrew Parker Show. Smart, plain talk. Episode 497, The Andrew Parker Show – An Axis of Peace: Iran, Israel and the Future of the Middle East

In Episode 497 of The Andrew Parker Show, Andrew examines what he believes could be a historic turning point in the Middle East: the possibility of dismantling Iran’s Islamist regime and replacing an axis of terror with what he calls an “axis of peace.” What could a Middle East without Iranian support for Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis look like? Andrew considers the potential for new relationships among Israel, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and, eventually, a free Iran — opening the door to greater regional stability, economic cooperation and, perhaps, lasting peace. But Andrew argues that realizing that possibility will require decisive American leadership. He questions President Donald Trump’s current approach to Iran and warns against trusting a regime he believes has repeatedly demonstrated that it has no intention of honoring lasting agreements. The episode then turns to Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the growing hostility Andrew sees toward Israel and Jews in American politics. Drawing from a recent essay by Rabbi Pinchas Allouche, Andrew discusses the importance of confronting antisemitism and anti-Israel rhetoric with moral clarity, Jewish pride, faith, goodness and resolve. Can the Middle East move from decades of terrorism and conflict toward an entirely different future? And will Americans recognize and confront growing antisemitism at home? Smart, plain talk. Episode 496 – The Andrew Parker Show - Michigan’s Senate Race: A Warning to Jewish Democrats

Michigan could become ground zero for a political shift Andrew Parker has been warning about for years. In Episode 496 of The Andrew Parker Show, Andrew examines Abdul El-Sayed’s U.S. Senate candidacy, the Democratic Party’s evolving relationship with Israel, and what he sees as the growing influence of anti-Israel and Islamist politics within the party. Andrew argues that the stakes extend far beyond one Senate race. With Republican Mike Rogers potentially facing El-Sayed in November, he asks whether Michigan’s Jewish voters could determine the outcome — and whether lifelong Democrats will reconsider their political loyalties when support for Israel and concerns about antisemitism are on the line. He also examines why the absence of Donald Trump from the ballot could affect Republican turnout, the enthusiasm driving the progressive left, and why he believes Michigan may offer an important preview of where American politics is headed. Is this simply another closely contested Senate race, or a warning about a much larger political transformation? Politics. Israel. The Law. Smart Plain Talk. Episode 495 – The Andrew Parker Show - It’s Not Coming. It’s Here: Andrew Parker on the Democratic Party’s Breaking Point

Andrew Parker marks Episode 495—and nearly ten years behind the microphone—with a warning about what he sees as a watershed moment in American politics. Beginning with the rule of law, immigration enforcement and the growing resistance to ICE, Andrew challenges the argument that enforcing existing federal immigration laws constitutes an attack on democracy. If Americans disagree with the law, he argues, the answer lies in the democratic process—not in obstructing its enforcement. From there, Andrew turns to a larger and more consequential concern: the changing ideological makeup of the Democratic Party and the growing influence of socialist, Islamist, anti-Israel and antisemitic voices within it. Recent elections, he argues, signal that a political movement once dismissed as being on the fringe has crossed an important threshold. Andrew examines what that shift could mean for Jewish Americans, the U.S.-Israel relationship, constitutional government and the future direction of the country. “The dam has broken,” Andrew says. The question now is what Americans who disagree with that direction are prepared to do about it. Smart. Plain. Talk. No political correctness. Episode 494, The Andrew Parker Show - Mark Halperin, Editor-in-Chief of 2WAY, returns to discuss Israel, Iran and the Political Realignment Reshaping America

Is American politics undergoing a fundamental realignment? In Episode 494 of The Andrew Parker Show, Andrew welcomes Mark Halperin, Editor-in-Chief of 2WAY, for a wide-ranging conversation about Israel, Iran, the Democratic Party, Donald Trump, the upcoming midterm elections, and the rapidly changing American media landscape. Andrew and Mark examine the dramatic shift in U.S. attitudes toward Israel since October 7 and what the growing divide over Israel could mean for the future of the Democratic Party. They discuss AIPAC's changing political influence, the reluctance of prominent Democratic leaders to challenge increasingly anti-Israel voices within the party, Benjamin Netanyahu's political future, and whether a new Israeli prime minister could reset the U.S.-Israel relationship. The conversation then turns to President Trump's handling of the Iran war. Halperin assesses what the United States has accomplished, where the strategy has fallen short, and whether the administration risks becoming caught in a geopolitical and political quagmire. They also look ahead to the midterm elections, where Halperin sees an unusually unpredictable political environment, before turning to the future of journalism and the decline of traditional media. Halperin explains why he believes the next generation of successful media will combine independent voices, serious reporting, open debate, and genuine engagement with audiences — the philosophy behind 2WAY.
