    Your One Stop Manson/Depp Podcast

Welcome back, dear listener. Free form, sprawling, wildly speculative as always. It must be another episode of Falling Short. In this episode, we cover a lot of ground - starts in on Sharon Tate, is Trent Reznor incel patient zero, that new Lana del Rey LP, the underwhelming new Sect LP, Korn and nu metal. But perhaps most importantly of all, we take a look at one of the greatest romances of the 20th century - Marilyn and John. Now, when we say that, you think of Monroe and Kennedy, right? Oh dear listener, how wrong you are! MANSON & DEPP 4 EVER. Sit back, pack a bowl. We're going into the bushes.

Ep 16 - Resist 8 - The Bright Side of What?

Good things come to those who wait. You're welcome. In a similar sense, though, a recurring theme in this episode is hardcore from the west coast. No idea how or why it happened, but for some reason Perth just took the mantle for a few years in this middle stretch of the Resist catalogue. As such, Jaxon excels as he regales us with 'Nah bro, it was really like this.' The biggest record we touch on during this episode is 'The Bright Side', the sole full-length from Break Even, who at one point were perhaps the biggest Australian hardcore band outside of Parkway Drive. An interesting band - we talk their development and growth a bit, the story and circumstance from which this record emerged and how badly Perth needed it at the time. This record was a game-changer, definitely in Perth, if not more widely afield - loathe to use the word community, it is hard to position this record as anything other than a community building tool. Big record for a whole generation of young folk in Perth and it breathed some welcome oxygen into things. Anyway, enough rambling. We also touch on Crafter (as always), the underrated genius of the Clever Species LP and the Against Me! grift. Strap in, bring Kleenex. It's an emotional one.

Ep 15 - Clean Plate Zero - Is This the Utopia We've Suffered For?

Sometimes to get to the bottom of a rabbit hole you need to dig laterally, break through other caverns and burrows and maybe even circle back around. A break from the Trustkill and Resist dives to consider what Clean Plate may hold. #Aus hc #hc #ausrap #gutterrap #skramz #screamo #realscreamo #orchid
