Came here to say that your subtitle: Kill the Laziness is an inaccurate perspective and understanding to what procrastination really is. Most folks cannot help to procrastinate as it’s a outcome of anxiety, stress, adhd, and/or other issues. Stating procrastination is laziness is not only untrue, it’s offensive. Society already has this narrative that people delay tasks on purpose and that is mostly not the case. I’m a procrastinator but not intentionally. I’m far from lazy but do not always make a good judgment with time, that’s also not intentional. The way my brain processing things- events, tasks, etc., especially challenging things, is not in the neurotypical way. I need to break down a big tasks into smaller ones to get the job done but sometimes even doing that seems too overwhelming that I cannot even start and rather move it to the side altogether. However, if I’m doing something I’m familiar with and have a good process on, I have no issue with follow through. Please do not add to the unhealthy narrative that already exists around procrastination. Instead, do some research, be empathetic, and rather than judge, create a safe space and provide support and/or shared experiences.
