More Than Meets The Pod

More Than Meets The Pod is a Transformers podcast made by queer women for queer women to discuss the ins and outs of why we love these robots so darn much.
10/10 would listen to again

Discovered this podcast last month through twitter and its been a great time listening through all the episodes! Thank you for this good serotonin during these dark times. (P.S. “Is Optimus Prime Vriska?” Is the most cursed thing I ever had to hear and I’m still thinking about it three weeks later)
Refreshing Transformers Podcast

Not only are the cartoon episode reviews audio gold, I really love the off weeks, where the hosts delve into fandom topics that I don't usually hear on other podcasts. The discussions about the What Ifs, characters, and world-building in Transformers fanon and canon are delightful, and the Ships From A Hat usually have me laughing out loud at work. Glad to hear you start your read-through of MTMtE; I can't wait to hear your thoughts as you go!
A whole new world

I’ve been watching the G1 episodes since I was a kid, and this is the most fresh, fun take on a 36 year old cartoon that I have heard! Love the other topical episodes, and can’t wait to hear them dive into Beast Wars, Prime, IDW and Animated!
Three thumbs up (animation error?)

When I first saw the description of MTMTPod, I’ll admit I was a little bit skeptical of it. A show that purported itself to be SO up my alley seemed like it could only turn out to be disappointing. When I finally got over myself and started to catch up on the backlog, I was immediately hooked. I’m constantly impressed by the clever humor and analyses, whether the subject is misogyny in the fandom or Starscream eating ass. Even though I’ve loved this show for a while, it was the crossover with APDC that drove home for me how great the work the hosts are doing really is. It was incredible to see them acting as ambassadors, essentially, for queer transformative fandom in a space where - going in knowing what APDC was but without having by actually listened to it - I would have expected those kinds of fan perspectives to be looked down on. The respect and camaraderie between the MTMTP hosts and the APDC guys blew me away and the episode was an absolute riot to listen to. This has been one of my favorite podcasts for months now and I always make room in my day to listen to new episodes when they drop. Thanks for all your great work, and happy Podversary!
The transformers content I’ve been craving

This podcast is run by 2 of the most entertaining hosts ever while also creating such a great environment/platform to discuss this franchise. It’s so hard to find directly transformers fan perspectives especially from fans who are queer and or women who are also here to have fun and talk about something they care about. They give off such good vibes and manage to articulate the good, bad, and the weird when it comes to transformers. Also I don’t think I’ve ever listened to a series like this that’s so open and comfortable with talking about fic and fan tropes...which is so amazing and super fun to hear discussed. I haven’t laughed out loud so much in so long because real talk the fic is probably 75% of the reason why I jumped back into this fan-pit. This is the first time in probably a year so I’m intensely blowing through a podcast series. Thanks for making such a good podcast and please keep doing what you guys are doing!!
A podcast I look forward to every week!

The hosts are delightful and drink respect women juice every day. Listen to this podcast for discussion about Rumble rarepairs and Starscream’s love of booty. 🤫 (Kit and Harper, thanks for your hard work!)

I have an early opening shift for work and on my way to start it I happened to stumble across a tweet (I believe it was @skyvvarp or @AintNoWaifu) that mentioned your podcast. I read the bio and instantly fell in love! I ended up listening to most of your episodes that day (at the time 1.2 Does Heart Have Brain was the latest one)! I couldn’t stop grinning like a fool and laughing to myself that a few of my coworkers made a comment. Regardless, I have been looking forward to Wednesdays thanks to you two. I’ve been a huge fan of these giant alien robots since watching Beast Wars and Armada back when having to fight for the remote with your life was a thing. Its been bringing me to near tears seeing so many other younger women enjoying em too, let alone openly talking about content that fans have made themselves. I cant wait for you two to watch more of the show and to share more stories you’ve read!! BTW, there’s totally a canon Robot/Human relationship in G1~
The new and the old

As a woman old enough to have been in the target demographic for the original toys, the hosts seen startlingly young. On the other hand, as someone who never really experienced this franchise in media until I basically tripped over the fandom two weeks ago, I am prepared to be lead by those with much more fandom experience and knowledge than myself. I am the newbie and I can’t wait to hear all the things I need to know and check out about these robots!
A breath of fresh energon

In a fandom dominated by middle aged men, these two are a wonderful change. They’re riotously funny, and make me more excited to re-enter a fandom I was hesitant to rejoin for years after ROTF. I cannot wait to hear their opinions of Bumblebee
