    Thank You, Jesus: Week 1

Spiritual dementia is a condition of the soul that mirrors the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease on the mind. It is a gradual decline in one's relationship with Jesus that, left unaddressed, damages both our connection to God and our relationships with others. The Apostle Paul, writing to a young pastor named Timothy, outlined four antidotes that are just as powerful and relevant today as they were in the first century. The first antidote is gratitude. Making a daily, intentional habit of saying thank you to Jesus keeps the soul anchored to Christ through every season. The second is remembering the source of true strength. Whether the need is mental, emotional, relational, or financial, Jesus provides supernatural strength that far exceeds anything we can generate on our own. The third antidote is serving. Jesus chose each believer and appointed them to bear fruit, and there is a remarkable connection between active service and a vibrant, answered-prayer kind of faith. The fourth antidote is receiving mercy and grace. Paul called himself the worst of sinners, yet he received the full measure of God's love and forgiveness. That same mercy and grace is available to every person, regardless of their past. Together, these four antidotes form a practical and spiritually grounded response to the drift that so many believers experience. Gratitude, dependence on Christ's strength, faithful service, and a deep awareness of God's mercy are not just theological ideas. They are daily practices that keep faith alive, growing, and anchored to the hope of eternity that Jesus has promised to every one of His followers.
