    RAYS POSTCAST: The Tampa Bay Rays offense GOES COLD in a loss to the Houston Astros

    The Rays drop the last game of the series to the Astros 2-0. Both offense struggled to generate a lot of momentum. Both teams combined for just 9 hits after the two teams combined for 18 runs yesterday. The two Astros runs came off solo homers. The first one was in the 4th inning to make it 1-0. The second one was off the bat of former Ray Isaac Parades to make it 2-0. Rays starter Mason Englert was very good for the Rays today. He went 5.2 IP striking out a career high 9 batters and only allowed 2 runs.     RAYS POSTCAST: The Tampa Bay Rays WIN STREAK ends in FRUSTRATING fashion vs the Houston Astros

    The Rays' nine-game winning streak came to an end with a tough 10–8 walk-off loss to the Astros.   It was one of the wildest games of the season for Tampa Bay. The Rays jumped out to a 7–2 lead through four innings, but Houston mounted an incredible comeback.   Before the Astros rallied, Junior Caminero stayed red hot, launching another home run in the 1st inning. It was his 11th homer in his last 11 games, continuing one of the hottest stretches in baseball.   The Rays' bullpen, however, finally ran out of gas. Tampa Bay's pitching staff surrendered eight runs over the final six innings, allowing Houston to erase the five-run deficit and put the Rays' offense in a difficult spot.   With the game tied in the 9th, MVP frontrunner Yordan Alvarez crushed a walk-off home run to give the Astros a 10–8 victory.   While the winning streak ends at nine games, it was an impressive run that helped the Rays strengthen their hold atop the AL East.     RAYS POSTCAST: The Tampa Bay Rays REFUSE TO LOSE as they beat the Houston Astros

    The Rays win their 9th straight game, beating the Astros 3-1. It was a pitchers duel for the first part of this game. Neither team got a run until the 6th inning. Nick Martinez was the reason the Astros were limited offensively tonight. He once again put up a strong start going 5.1 IP striking out 3 and only allowing 1 run. That 1 run was in the 6th inning after Nick Fortes gave the Rays the lead with a solo homer. The Astros answered with a solo homer themselves to make it 1-1. The Rays answered back in the 7th inning with another Junior Caminero homer. Junior now has 10 homers in his last 10 games as his incredible run continues. Nick Fortes gave the Rays more insurance with a RBI double in the 8th to make it 3-1. The Rays bullpen would be nails once again to give the Rays another win.     The Rays win their 8th straight game, Completing the sweep of the Royals winning 5-2. The Rays got behind early in this one. The Royals hit a lead off homer in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead. After that Rays starter Ian Seymour would lock in. He would not allow another run over his next 5 innings. His final line with 6 IP striking out 8 and only allowing 3 hits. The Rays big inning game in the 2nd inning. It started with a Taylor Walls RBI double to tie the game at 1. Then Richie Palacious gave the Rays the lead with a RBI single to make it 2-1.  Hunter Feduccia capped off the inning with a RBI triple to give the Rays a 3-1 lead. The Rays got some much needed insurance in the 5th from Cedric Mullins. Mullins belted a 2 run homer to make it 5-1 lead. The Royals added a run in the 7th but the Rays bullpen would shut it down from there.     The Rays win their 7th straight game, beating the Royals 4-0. This game went the Rays way from the start. Junior Caminero continued his historic hot streak by destroying a 2 run homer in the 1st inning to give the Rays a 2-0 lead. The game would stay 2-0 until the 6th inning. The game was able to stay 2-0 because of an outstanding start by Shane McClanahan. He went 6 IP striking out 4 and not allowing any runs. The Rays would extend their lead on a Cedric Mullins solo shot to make it 3-0. Mullins would get his 2nd  RBI of the night in the 8th inning. Mullins lined a RBI single to give the Rays a 4-0 lead. The Rays offense continued to provide pressure all night. They finished with 11 hits as the Rays continue to fire on all cylinders.
