Bear with One Another in Love | The Art of One-Anothering | August 2nd, 2026

In the fifth week of The Art of One-Anothering, Brandon Ting explores the profound calling to bear with one another in love as described in Ephesians 4. While our culture often encourages an I-centered life that treats others as inconveniences, the gospel reveals a new humanity formed by Jesus Christ, who bore our full humanity and sins on the cross. Through practical examples like a pollinator garden and a shared experience of overcoming fear, this message challenges us to move toward the weaknesses of others with gentleness and patience. Ultimately, bearing with one another serves as a powerful announcement to the world that what God bears, God loves. ABOUT THE SERIES: The Art of One-Anothering At Renew Church, we work hard at fostering authentic community — not just because it’s fun, but because it’s at the very heart of Jesus for His followers. This summer, we want to celebrate and deepen those connections with our speaking series, The Art of One-Anothering. And what better way to explore this than through a diverse lineup of familiar voices from right here within our own church family? Each speaker will share from their heart on a specific "one another" verse from Scripture, offering practical wisdom on how we can continue to love, serve, and bear with each other. Join us this summer as we learn to master the beautiful, intentional art of living as the community Jesus envisioned! We meet at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings at Cineplex Cinemas, 1175 Maple Ave, Milton. We'd love to meet you and invite you to join us there!

    Encourage One Another | The Art of One-Anothering | July 19th, 2026

In week 3 of our series The Art of One-Anothering, Executive Director Erik Russell unpacks what it really means to “encourage one another” in a world of shallow affirmation and social media outrage. Drawing from persecuted believers, the life of Barnabas, and the midnight songs of Paul and Silas in prison, he shows how true encouragement runs toward people in their suffering and builds deep, unbreakable “communitas.” Erik also reveals how our worship, our words, and even our behind-the-scenes service become structural support for each other’s faith, especially in hard seasons. This message will challenge you to move beyond polite distance and step into sacrificial, Spirit-filled community. The Activity of Humility | The Art of One-Anothering | July 12th, 2026

In the second week of "The Art of One-Anothering" series, Elder Barry Jones explores the vital role of humility as a cornerstone for healthy Christian community. Drawing from 1 Peter 5, he explains that "clothing ourselves" with humility involves putting on the servant's apron, just as Jesus did when He washed His disciples' feet. In a modern culture often defined by entitlement, this message highlights how practical humility—such as being quick to praise and slow to criticize—makes the church more authentically human. Ultimately, Elder Barry reminds us that as we humble ourselves toward one another, we receive God's grace and reflect His nature to a world in need of truth and connection. Honour One Another | The Art of One-Anothering | July 5th, 2026

In the opening message of The Art of One-Anothering, Pastor Bartley Sawatsky explores what it means to honour one another in a culture that often rewards criticism, pride, and self-promotion. Drawing from Scripture, he shows that honour is not about status or flattery, but about seeing others through the lens of God’s grace. When the church learns to practice real honour, relationships become healthier, humility grows, and the body of Christ becomes stronger. This message challenges us to recover the lost art of giving honour freely, sincerely, and faithfully.
