St. Anger, by Metallica (Pt. 2)

Jack spent so much time setting up this album that he forgot to talk about it in the previous episode! It's okay though, Spencer stuck around so we could all peek through the Dirty Window of Metallica's most turbulent period of their careers, all thanks to the documentary "Some Kind of Monster." St. Anger, by Metallica (Pt. 1)

Before Jack and Spencer get into St. Anger, they dive into the history of Metallica's past grievances up to the year 2000, which contributed to their emotional state before producing the most loathed album of all time. This primarily includes the infamous dispute between drummer Lars Ulrich and Spotify's dirty uncle: Napster. Also Jack figures out a way to bring up Radiohead because he's a creep he's a weirdo. Cigarettes and Valentines, by Green Day

After the mediocre release of "Warning" (2000), Green Day needed a top-notch followup. The Anaheim punk trio set to work on their seventh studio album: "Cigarettes and Valentines," a deviation from the acoustic/folk-punk sound that fans rejected in "Warning." Before its 2003 release, band members claim the album's master-tapes were stolen, never to be recovered. In lieu of doing it all over again, the band would write and release "American Idiot" (2004), a smash-hit that rocketed them to more fame than they knew how to waste. (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, by Oasis

In 1991, brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher formed Oasis, a band that focused on doing as little work as possible to become worldwide rock stars. Their simple, very British hooks gave a spark to the Britpop genre and took the world by storm... as did their wild and volatile relationship. Jesus Is King, by Kanye West

October 25, 2019, famed producer and egomaniac Kanye West released his ninth studio album: a Christian Hip-Hop record titled "Jesus is King." Scattered throughout this album, fans noticed remnants of the leaked album "Yandhi," originally set to release September 29, 2018 before disappearing in the wake of Kanye's rebirth. Rebirth, that is, as both a born-again Christian and a new-age televangelist. Blunderphonics is a weekly show by Jack Derbak and Spencer Foust, diving into music's most-troubled productions. Trout Mask Replica, by Captain Beefheart

In 1968, Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band (of slaves) began recording their upcoming double album on Frank Zappa's new label: "Straight Records." Described as "experimental rock," one host questions whether that makes it music's baking-soda-volcano, or The Manhattan Project. Blunderphonics will be taking a three-month break between seasons.
