On a whim, despite a very fervent hatred of podcasts, I started this podcast and I’m happy to say, I no longer hate podcasts! Usually I have trouble keeping up with them, or I get bored easily, but the two hosts are so energetic, funny, and the bedridden #relatable (that is a bit joke-y but mostly true) that I couldn’t help be hooked. Baited, if you will. That was really silly, sorry.
I’ve been listening to the episodes back to back—literally everywhere. In the grocery store, on the toilet, not yet in the shower but I still have the opportunity. It’s so hard to *not* stay attached to this podcast at the leg, a child stuck to their mother, I’m afraid to wander lest I get lost. It’s definitely made for people who were avid Tumblr users in the hay-day, and the hosts definite charm could be seen as a annoyance to the uninitiated or sane minded, but luckily I was on Tumblr in 2012. I understand it, and more than understand it, I am emotionally attached. The SasuNaru episode really did me in—I too, have a Sasuke Mitski playlist—so I’m in for the ride; for better or for worse, sickness and in health, yadda yada. You get the idea.
Do I recommend this podcast? Absolutely, not one doubt in my mind. Would I recommend this to somebody not burdened by internet trauma and fandom sorrows? No, not likely. I’d say it’s a acquired taste, but that feels like a insult when I mean nothing but the most gracious of thoughts. It’s for you, yes you! The one plagued by woes spawned from the World Wide Web. Can’t stress how much I love this podcast and think it’s amazing despite only being a few episodes in, and despite my lateness as well.
