What Does It Mean to Serve the LORD? | Joshua 24:15 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 08/09/2026

What does it mean to serve the Lord? In Joshua 24, Joshua calls Israel to make a decisive commitment to Yahweh, warning them against divided loyalties and calling them to serve the Lord with sincerity and faithfulness. Serving God begins with recognizing Jesus Christ as Lord, submitting to His authority, turning from sin, and giving Him the allegiance that belongs to Him alone. Following Jesus also means learning from Him as Teacher, following Him as Shepherd, serving Him as Master, and reflecting His servant-hearted example. Christian service extends to serving God's people with the gifts He has given, while maintaining an attitude of reverence, faithfulness, zeal, and gladness. Mark 10:45 provides the model for Christian service: Jesus came to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_0990b528250e481eb0b1c535bf86b694.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_0d9b333d2e80400099076f75eae7f2ec.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/

    Identity: What is Man? | Genesis 3:1-5 | John Rabe | 08/02/2026

What does it mean to be human? In a culture that encourages people to define themselves by their feelings, Scripture points to a very different foundation. Genesis 1-3 reveals that our identity is rooted in being created in the image of God. Careful study of these chapters answers life's deepest questions about purpose, value, morality, and meaning while exposing the false promises of expressive individualism. Genesis also provides a biblical framework for understanding personhood, gender, human dignity, and the effects of sin on our identity. Rather than looking inward for truth, God's Word directs us to the Creator, who alone defines who we are and why we exist. The gospel then reveals how Jesus Christ restores what sin has broken and enables us to live according to God's design. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_998e22cca6944b04a78bea26618de07c.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_d4eb1d13dc684a0c9d868f5830440746.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/

    Christ’s Perfect Patience with Paul | 1 Timothy 1:12-17 | Pastor Benjamin Nistor | 07/19/2026

In this message from 1 Timothy 1:12-17, we examine the remarkable testimony of the Apostle Paul and discover how Christ's perfect patience is displayed through His saving grace. From persecuting the church to proclaiming the gospel, Paul's life reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of God's mercy. His testimony is not ultimately about his past, but about the greatness of the Savior who transformed him. This sermon explores the biblical pattern of remembering and declaring God's mighty works, from the Old Testament to the New Testament, and shows why every Christian has a story worth telling. Paul's testimony begins with thanksgiving, briefly acknowledges his former life, magnifies God's mercy, grace, and patience, and ends in joyful praise. His example encourages every believer to use their own testimony to point others to Christ, demonstrating that Jesus still saves sinners and receives all the honor and glory forever. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_e0531b74fcb8428d9c56ed99ad427cbf.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_9a30abf7395a4a1a88e19bac01aaed20.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/

    God’s Grace Through Relationships | 1 Peter 5:12–14 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 07/12/2026

As Peter closes his first letter, he leaves more than a few personal greetings. He reminds us that God's grace is often experienced through faithful relationships within the body of Christ. From the faithfulness of Silvanus (Silas) and the restored ministry of Mark to the love shared among believers, these final verses point us to the true grace of God that enables Christians to stand firm together. In this message, Pastor Andrew Coleman concludes our study through 1 Peter by exploring the importance of faithful friendships, the unity of Christ's church, the perseverance of believers, and the hope found in God's grace. As followers of Christ, we are called to endure suffering, serve faithfully, encourage one another, and stand firm in the gospel until the Lord returns. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_49a91f2679f445efa17ce3111a9b201d.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_06d76be3f03c428c8cc5cdcdf42faeb5.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/

The Meaning of Liberty | John 8:36 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 07/05/2026

In a fallen world where power often leads to corruption and tyranny, the Bible reveals that the real problem is sin corrupting the human heart. Pastor Andrew Coleman teaches from John 8:36 that our deepest need is not political or social reform alone, but the true liberty that only Christ can bring. The sermon contrasts the bondage of sin, marked by injustice, oppression, and death, with the freedom Jesus offers, as proclaimed in Luke 4 when He declared His mission to set captives free. It emphasizes how the Gospel addresses the root issue of the heart, drawing from passages like Jeremiah 17:9, Mark 7, and Galatians 5 to show that real freedom comes through abiding in Christ's truth. John 8:36 explains that those set free by the Son are liberated from slavery to sin and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live holy lives, serve others in love, and bear the fruit of the Spirit instead of the works of the flesh. It highlights how all lasting liberty in society flows from the influence of the Gospel, calling listeners to come to Christ for salvation and restoration while praying for spiritual awakening. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_078e59cc01f84b29a12bd8bf13417f6b.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_a279ea88eeaf4e32bdcd972604d80a9d.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/

The Light at the End of the Tunnel | 1 Peter 5:10-11 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 06/28/2026

In this message from 1 Peter 5:10-11, we see one of the Bible's greatest promises of hope for suffering believers. Peter reminds us that while suffering is a real part of the Christian life, it is never the end of the story. Our trials are temporary when viewed in light of the eternal glory God has prepared for His people. This sermon explores how Christians can endure hardship with confidence by fixing their eyes on the God of all grace. He is faithful to complete the work He has begun, restoring, confirming, strengthening, and establishing His people through Christ. Peter encourages us to live with an eternal perspective, trusting that God is at work even in our darkest moments and that His promises will ultimately lead to complete restoration. The result is a life filled with hope, perseverance, and worship as we give glory to the One whose dominion is forever and ever. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_195148ce4e9540acb2010707aee189e3.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_bfb4a931f3ba456ba58bd744abcc3302.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/

    Jesus is Better | Pastor Ben Nistor | Hebrews 1:1–4 | 06/21/2026

Hebrews opens with the declaration that God has spoken. Throughout the Old Testament, He revealed Himself through prophets, visions, dreams, signs, and many other means. Yet all of those revelations pointed forward to something greater. In these last days, God has spoken finally and fully through His Son, Jesus Christ. The message of Hebrews is clear: when believers face suffering, pressure, discouragement, or temptation to drift away, they must remember that Jesus is better than every person, system, promise, and shadow that came before Him. Hebrews 1 focuses on the supremacy of Christ. Jesus is the heir of all things, the Creator of the world, the radiance of God's glory, the exact representation of His nature, the sustainer of the universe, the purifier of sins, the risen King seated at God's right hand, and superior even to the angels. Because Jesus is better, believers are called to persevere in faith, hold fast to the gospel, pursue holiness, worship God with reverence, and endure faithfully no matter the cost. ________________________________________ Links to Sermon Notes & Answers: ➤Sermon Notes (Blank): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_458e6e50a70e4c8abbeee4d75b8c3e5e.pdf ➤Sermon Notes (Answers): https://www.sheridanhills.org/_files/ugd/30fec2_c1090c859dc34490b1e7f574aaae7926.pdf ________________________________________ In this video: Review of previous sermons in series Main Points Application ________________________________________ Subscribe to this channel to catch weekly expositional sermons from the Bible. ________________________________________ Explore more sermons and information: https://www.sheridanhills.org/watch-new ________________________________________ Follow us: ➤Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sheridanhills/ ➤Twitter: https://twitter.com/sheridanhills01 ➤Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sheridanhills/
