RPG for You and Me

The editing here is so clean and well done to do minor tweaks like laying characters voiced by the same person (happens a lot with one single player and a GM) over each other to make it sound even more natural. The characters are lovably flawed and story beats happen naturally out of that. It is an absolute joy to listen to.

It takes a lot to get me to listen to podcasts, so top notch audio quality, story telling, and editing are a must! Every character in this show has their own wonderful personality and well thought story that makes me them come to life. Doug and Alli really capture the idea of just a charming city full of wonderful people, or is it? After into her return home Athena finds herself wrapped into a web of conspiracy. With just the right amount of charming big city life and daring heart racing tension this show will keep you on your toes. I highly recommend it, it’s got everything I could want in an actual play podcast with the added bonus of Alli and Doug’s custom cyberpunk setting which gives incredible visuals for an audio medium

This show is such a blast! The world is rich, the characters all have so much personality and the story has so many twists and turns! The time and effort put into the editing of the show is top notch! Voice effects are utilized well and don’t take you out of the story. Music is such a nice backdrop in every scene. Doug and Alli put on a clinic in character depth and personality! Every episode is filled to the brim with intrigue and wholesome character interaction with a hefty dash of thrilling combat! The mix of drama and levity hits such a nice balance. You need to listen to this show.

This actual play is one of my favorites out there. Ali and Doug use the Savage World system to run a custom setting that threads cyberpunk themes with fantasy elements. For the plot you follow Athena, a resident of an underground city who fled to the surface because of a mysterious conspiracy and is now returning to her home to uncover the truth. Expect hectic action mixed in with conspiracy and detective intrigue. Plus a lot of Critical Fails on Ali's part, and a ton of fantastic npc character's with unique voices created by Doug. All in all a fantastic podcast with great hosts, and even a developing fun community on their Patreon exclusive Discord server.
