We are the Sapphire Community Group. We were founded in 2015 as Sapphire Ministries and then during the concourse of November 2017, we underwent some changes and rebranded as ‘The Sapphire Community Group’. We as an organisation aims to restore, revive and rebuild a divided generation. We accept everyone and encourage individuals to be their truest self. We work with the 13-30 year olds around the world and we instil the message of love but most of all self-worth. We are an organisation that seeks to empower and stabilize a segregated community. The sole purpose of the SCG is to build people up and provide you with the platform to shine.

    The Glass Ceiling

    The Sapphire Radio Show is aimed at inspiring, empowering and motivating young people aged 10 to 30 years. A secondary research study was carried out in 2015 and the findings suggested 4 results. The findings from these studies, are the governing principles that Sapphire operates by. The study looked at the influences that impact the target audience aged 10 to 30 years in the UK. The results showed that Literature, Events, Media and Programmes are the most influential tool. The study looked at the 4 ways people retain information or learn or are entertained. The study showed that influence over 10 to 30 year olds can be achieved through 4 channels, which are through what they watch, read, through socialising/ events and lastly through what they listen to. Here at Sapphire our goal is to transform and revolutionise the world as we know it. We want to be a voice of love, life and hope. We want to foster a community where we build up homes and not tear down dreams. We want to motivate, inspire and empower our generation. The Sapphire Radio Show, is a place where people are free to be themselves. A platform where young people can create the impossible. This is not just any radio station but a home for our generation. A place where you are not judged. A place you create. A place you voice out your concerns and device a strategy for change. This is a station where we tackle the concerns of young people. A place where we highlight the day to day struggles. A place where we stand and own up our scars and say yes, we made it. A place where we take off the masks and stand in the sun.

    Growing up in the 21st century, can be so difficult! Trying to navigate who you are, can be extremely hard. Trying to please everyone and to be accepted by all, can be a difficult role to play. We are in a world, where social media is having a massive impact on the way we live our lives. Young people today, are modifying themselves to fit into the status quo and are trying to aspire to be someone else rather than loving themselves. This Radio show is aimed at inspiring, empowering and motivating young people to love their truest selves. Today we are saying, love your quirky parts. Today we are saying that no one can accept you until you begin to accept yourself. At Sapphire we want to shine. Check out a Radio show episode fortnightly on Sunday at 10pm. Join hosts Dami, Ese, Jonic and Joyce. This is a place where we are not afraid to speak up and to voice out the concerns of society.

A place where we take off the masks and stand in the sun. Breeeeexit: Our hosts Joyce, Ese and Jonic discuss Brexit from the perspective of semi-informed (and otherwise) young people. In other words, this episode is an attempt to navigate the world of politics at a time where many young people are thinking about their future from the perspective of a post-Brexit Britain. Ese, Joyce and Jonic infuse humour into a topic that, more likely than not, sends people into a state of frustration, whilst also managing to sound like they know what they’re talking about. Do bear in mind that they are not politics students, nor are they experts on the Brexit situation, just three individuals attempting to shed light on a topic many young people try to avoid. The media is a powerful tool. We have created this show to address and discuss everyday issues affecting young people.
