In full disclosure, I am the mother of one of the pod’s hosts, and, as she will tell you, I can be brutally honest. At first, I thought this podcast was going to be a youthful peccadillo, a millennial folly though which my beloved drama queen and her fellow theater-major roommate could create a venue through which to wax rhapsodic about a TV show and listen to their own voices. I happily stand corrected. This podcast is engaging, intelligent and fun. Christian and Julia’s cogent analysis brings a dramatist’s eye to points on directing, acting, lighting, costuming and story line. It should bring great joy to their former English teachers’ souls that the ladies identify a theme through which to interpret each episode. As a consumer of many podcasts, I can attest that the Teen Wolf Rewolf is thoughtful, organized and very well produced. Though I have never watched a single episode of Teen Wolf, I feel as though Scott and Stiles are family and I want to be Melissa’s best friend. I also love that parts of this pod sound like a 1940’s movie about two plucky gals taking on the big city, reporting on their public transportation trials and tribulations, and faithfully recording the number of times they are interrupted by sirens recording each episode. Every parent should be so lucky to be able to hear their child’s voice on demand. I am so proud of you both. Well done, friends, well done.
