    Reading the Old Me

    Send us Fan Mail Years ago, I wrote these columns in the middle of real life-raising kids, working in law enforcement, watching small-town Georgia unfold, and trying to make sense of the funny, hard, and holy parts of it all.  Now I'm reading them again for the first time in years. In each episode, I revisit an old column or two, read it out loud, then reflect on what was happening then, what still holds up now, and what time has taught me since.  Part storytelling, part commentary, and part conversation with my younger self, this podcast is about memory, meaning, and the strange experience of meeting your old words again, .
