    Sarah Laughed | What’s Built Inside — Pastor Zerubbabel Mengistu

    📜 “Then one of them said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.” Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him. Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing. So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, “After I am worn out and my Lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?” Then the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” Sarah was afraid, so she lied and said, “I did not laugh.” But he said, “Yes, you did laugh.” — Genesis 18:10-15 --- Your gift is one thing, and your character is another. So, in order to have good character in the day of evil, you need to fill yourself with God's promises. We all need to be evil day specialists. Believe the Scriptures. Believe the Bible. If God has given you His Word, you already have something to respond with rather than nothing. It's about your choice. You can do nothing, or you can do something. Your speech is powerful.     Sarah Laughed | The Lord Did What He Promised — Pastor Zerubabbel Mengistu

    📜 “Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him. Abraham gave the name Isaac to the son Sarah bore him. When his son Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him, as God commanded him. Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. Sarah said, “God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.” And she added, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? God keeps His word and performs what He has spoken. As it is written, "The righteous shall live by faith," we too must live by faith. As we see in the example of the centurion, Jesus amazed at the faith in His word. The centurion believed that it was enough for Jesus simply to speak the word. Therefore, what we must consider is what God has told us in His word. Then, we must walk in cooperation with Him by believing in His word. When we obey God in faith, we present ourselves for Him to accomplish the work He desires to carry out in our lives. God's way of working surpasses human thinking and calculation. Therefore, we must trust in Him. God speaks, and He fulfills what He has spoken. He is faithful and cannot lie. When we think about what He did for Hannah, we see that God heard her prayer and gave her a child according to His promise. Jesus asked His disciples, "Who do you say that I am?" It is important how we believe and understand who Jesus is.
