Law vs. Life

Read Galatians 3:15-291. What does it mean to have life? John 17:3; John 14:6,7; Galatians 2:19-202. Who inherits life? Think of being an employee of Microsoft and Bill Gates. Galatians 3:26-29; 1 John 5:1-5; John 10:10; Romans 5:173. Read Gal. 3:21 & Rom. 3:20. Why does the law not bring life?4. How does the law point to Jesus? 5. Where are you? – Think of being under captivity, imprisoned by sin revealed by the law.• Under the law – Don’t know Jesus and trying to earn God’s favor• Freed but running back? – Struggling with identity in Christ, feelings of value and worth, trying to prove yourself, still trying to do good works to earn favor with God and man.• Are you sitting in a recliner under the law? You have given up even trying to do good or to follow Christ. You are living for the world and conforming to its image (Romans 12:1-2)• Free and following Christ
