#147 Existential Kink: The Shadow Work Book That Changed How I See Manifestation

Key takeaways from Existential Kink by Carolyn Elliott, the shadow work book we just finished as a book club inside the Somatic Circle. Not a full book overview. Just the things I think are most essential for you to understand as you are manifesting your desires. One note before we dive in: Existential Kink is not a practice for deep grief, trauma, or depression. That work belongs with a therapist and in somatic containers like breathwork and TRE. This practice is for the situations in your life you just don't like -- a bank account number, a relationship pattern that keeps repeating, a job that isn't working. Here is what we cover: Having is evidence of wanting. If something is in your life that you don't like, there is a subconscious part of you, the shadow, that actually does want it there. This is the central assertion of the whole book, and once it lands, it changes everything. The Universe only knows fulfillment. It is always giving you what you want, but your subconscious runs the show 95-97% of the time. Your conscious mind sees lack. Your subconscious is getting exactly what she wanted. The release. Once you find the part of you that wanted the no-like situation, you honor her, celebrate that she got what she wanted, and flush it. Awareness is the first step. Then you move on. Why you need a loving third party. Your shadows are subconscious by definition, you cannot see them. That is why coaching, therapy, and community are not luxuries. They are the mirror you need. We are in divinity's dream. This reality is not what we think it is. Remembering that takes the pressure off, off taking risks, off betting on yourself, off needing to get it perfect. I also share why I realized I had manifested draining my bank account, what I learned from hearing Alex Hormozi talk about doing the same thing multiple times, and why I no longer use the word "healed." #146 The Shadow Work Exercise I Give Every Single Client

All you need is a piece of paper and a pen. This episode is a guided practice. I am walking you through my absolute favorite shadow work exercise, Free Form Writing, live. You can follow along right now, or come back to this episode again and again whenever something sticky comes up. I learned this practice from my spiritual mentor, Jen Whalen, and it is the first thing I give every client when their manifestations feel stuck, when the doubt is loud, when nothing seems to be moving. Here is how it works: Get a separate piece of paper. Not your journal. We are going to burn this. For 80% of the time, you let it rip. You write out every fear, every limiting belief, every ugly thought you have been shoving down. "My fear is..." "My anxiety is telling me..." "I'm worried about..." Keep your hand moving the whole time. Your handwriting is linked to your subconscious, things will come up that you did not even know were there. For the last 20%, you switch gears. "The truth is..." You write from the perspective of your most loving grandmother, your highest self, the voice that knows without a doubt that your desires are not only possible but inevitable. Then you burn it. Or rip it as small as you can and throw it away somewhere outside your home. That is it. Free. Accessible. Powerful. This is also what we have been doing inside the Somatic Circle for our 21-day shadow work challenge. If you want to do this work in community, send me a DM on Instagram @womanifester. Have a beautiful and blessed day.

#144 Introduction to Shadow Work | WTF Is The Shadow?

The shadow work series begins here. In this episode, I break down what the shadow actually is from three angles: psychology, spirituality, and the manifestation process. Because if you have ever wondered why your affirmations are not working, why visualization feels flat, or why you keep attracting the same patterns, this is likely why. Here is what we cover: What the shadow is NOT. No re-traumatization, no dramatic breakdowns required, and it does not conflict with your faith. In fact, shadow work gets you closer to God (or whatever you call the creator). Carl Jung and the psychological shadow. The repressed parts of self that run your life from the unconscious. As Jung said: "Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." The spiritual shadow. Anything that is keeping you from love. Anything that keeps you making decisions from fear instead of love. The manifestation shadow. Every thought, feeling, identity, and nervous system reaction that tells you that you cannot have what you want. This is what makes affirmations feel empty and visualizations feel worthless. Why those who have been told "no" by society often have more shadow work to do, and why that is not a disadvantage. It is your invitation. Also in this episode: I made a major investment in my business and in myself. And because of it, the Somatic Circle is increasing in price. You have until July 14th to join at the current rate of $1,111 for a full year of access. >>Join the Somatic Circle before the price increase Next episode: how to know if you have skipped your shadow work, and the first practices. Have a beautiful and blessed day.
