Sissy That Pod

I thoroughly enjoy listening to this podcast and the hosts are always entertaining. They bring a great deal of knowledge about drag and Drag Race to the show and they are consistently a pleasure to listen to. That being said, the most recent episode with the hosts of Celebrity Memoir Book Club is the worst episode in recent memory. I don’t understand the point of bringing on two people with no drag, or even Drag Race, knowledge to discuss the show, particularly when they do so with the worst vocal fry I’ve heard in ages. I was looking forward to listening to the episode discussing the first episode of this new season, but good lord, please don’t bring these two back. The episode is borderline unlistenable. This episode aside, thank you for the wonderful podcast!

I went back and forth on making this review but sat on it for the day and decided to go ahead. This guest was so mean spirited and negative, which would be more forgivable if they were at least funny, I was wincing the entire time. I was also disappointed in Troy being so nasty about Geneva at the end and the things being said about Megami. I now understand when queens complain about non queens having podcasts and takes about drag. This episode sounded like a Reddit comment section come to life.

I started out really liking this podcast, but lately it seems like you guys just don’t like the US version of RuPaul‘s drag race. In the last episode you call it “this godforsaken series,” why are you still watching.? I’m just confused if you hate everybody on the show and you hate the show itself why you’re watching. Maybe not do the next series because maybe you’re not looking at it from the right perspective.

Great insight, great chemistry! Can’t get enough!
