    TechnoSnobCast Ep - 38 Wetworks

Wetworks/V.I.T.R.I.O.L. was discovered in the mid 2000's by Glenn Wilson, whom released Wetworks first vinyl on The Infamous Punish Label. Through the years, Glenn has continued to be a mentor and friend. Along with many techno luminaries such as Mark Broom, Staffan Ehrlin and other heroes turned peers, whom have guided Wetworks through carving his own path in the music field, and have continuously encouraged him to release music that is not only true and honest to his outlook, but sonically impactful and able to be felt in the soul. Wetworks has released tracks on respected labels such as Geushky, Compound, Mastertraxx, Bubblejam Gold, Player, Dolma and more. His tracks are vicious, warehouse and dance floor ready, and cultivated with music theory in mind. 2019 has marked the debut of The Wetworks vs V.I.T.R.I.O.L. project, which will allow him to separate his known approach to funky and percussive techno as Wetworks, and allow for a newer approach to Faster & Brutal Hard Techno with a still keen to Music Theory and rhythmic approach, with a dash of Esoteric overtones. He is also the host and curator for DRR LTS Presents The Peak Hour Curated By Wetworks, a monthly radio show that showcases some of the best names through the years in Hard, Tribal & Rhythm Based, Peak Hour techno experiences, such as Paul Mac, Ryuji Takeuchi, Dean Rodell, The Divide and many more. Wetworks is now a part of the Chicago Jaxxx & Mastoid Kollektive family as their newly inducted A&R and Creative Director. https://www.discogs.com/artist/373076-Wetworks www.facebook.com/WetworksTech https://www.beatport.com/artist/wetworks/26726 www.instagram.com/wetworks_v.i.t.r.i.o.l/

TechnoSnobCast Ep - 35 Featuring maxiu

Bio: maxiu is a DJ/producer who recently joined to the Detroit scene. Growing up as a classical and jazz clarinetist, his first introduction to electronic music culture was from China's booming underground club scene, and he eventually performed several times at DADA Beijing. At the same time, he was very much exposed to hiphop style DJing and turntablism. After moving to the US, he got heavily involved in Pittsburgh’s techno scene and frequented after hour club Hot Mass. He became the Business Manager and radio DJ at WRCT 88.3FM Pittsburgh from 2018-2020, and hosted a weekly show “Couchlock” focusing on ambient electronic music. maxiu’s passion in mixing evolves around texture and sculpting dreamy soundscapes, as he plays with an eclectic blend of faster paced techno, electro, and IDM.
