Morgan believes it's possible to do hard things in a light way and make progress without perfection. She's dedicated to empowering women to embrace this philosophy.  Morgan's been a high performer all her life.  Morgan found joy in dissecting how high performers balance their performance and prioritize rest with intention.  Morgan created an online community that focused on 56 days, two moon cycles which are feminine and leaned into light.  Light is the opposite of dark and the opposite of heavy.  It's a feeling for Morgan and means something different to each person.   Morgan's links: Instagram: @lightfiftysix Facebook: lightfiftysix Website: light56.com/links   You can follow the I Can Do Anything Podcast at: Email me at – icandoanythingpod@gmail.com And then there is always my website - www.icandoanythingpod.com Like and subscribe on Facebook - https://bit.ly/3bG0Efk Follow on X - https://bit.ly/2yqZczb Find me on Instagram - https://bit.ly/2xDFIa4 You can listen anywhere you get your podcasts, such as Spotify or Apple podcasts.     I Can Do Anything Podcast https://www.icandoanythingpod.com/ https://icandoanything.libsyn.com Or you can listen anywhere you get your podcasts, such as Spotify.

Episode 99 – Hobbies with Casey Freeman

Casey and I delve into the world of our many, many hobbies.  Casey's definition of a hobby is that it has to cost you money, it might be a bit irresponsible, it should be fun, you should enjoy doing it, but that doesn't mean that you're good at it.  Another important factor is the ability to fail.  I couldn't agree more.  I discuss keeping a picture that I painted that's just horrible.  I keep it because I wanted to prove to myself as a visual reminder that you can do things that you're not good at, you can do things that you don't like. It's still a reminder that you lived, and that's something; that's really my why of doing some of these things. I can't stand the competition of people, or the comparison of other people.  I'm not competitive. I know people say I am, but I'm really not. Deep down, I'm really not competitive at all.  I do think that at times, there's nothing wrong with saying I went to go do this hobby with my friends, I was terrible at it, had a good time, this looks awful, but I'm still going to display it because it's a part of my life. I'm willing to put myself out there.  I'm willing to be embarrassed at how awful I perform.  I don't care, because I'm not comparing myself to anybody else. What I'm doing is living my best life.  If you find something that you really enjoy doing, it's not your job, you spend money, if you're good at it that's a bonus and if you're not good at it, that's ok too.  Do what you enjoy!   You can follow the I Can Do Anything Podcast at: Email me at – icandoanythingpod@gmail.com And then there is always my website - www.icandoanythingpod.com Like and subscribe on Facebook - https://bit.ly/3bG0Efk Follow on X - https://bit.ly/2yqZczb Find me on Instagram - https://bit.ly/2xDFIa4 You can listen anywhere you get your podcasts, such as Spotify or Apple podcasts.

    Episode 98 – Hannah Courtney, Plus-Size Running

Hannah Courtney, a plus‑size runner and book lover whose Instagram Reel about progressing from a 20‑minute mile to a 17‑minute mile unexpectedly went viral.  Our conversation was a deep, honest exploration of running, body confidence, training, gear, community, and personal growth.   Hannah began walking in June and running in July of this year, starting with 26–28 minute miles and only 30‑second run intervals.  She has lost weight with the help of a GLP‑1 medication, improved mobility, and consistent movement.  Her viral Reel showed her pace progression, which resonated with many plus‑size runners who rarely see themselves represented.   Hannah and I discussed how we'll train more intentionally, focusing on our endurance, and pacing.  I mentioned how important strength training is for ladies in general and to support running and prevent injury.  We both commented on the importance of properly fitted running shoes, often 1–2 sizes larger, to prevent pain and toenail issues.   We both emphasized the importance of consistency, not perfection.  On race day it's you vs. you, not about placement.   We strived to get across that age doesn't matter.  Start where you are to find movement that speaks to you, treat your body with kindness, and build habits that support your goals.   Hannah's links: Instagram: @hannah.books.and.running TikTok: @hannah.runs.tennessee     You can follow the I Can Do Anything Podcast at: Email me at – icandoanythingpod@gmail.com And then there is always my website - www.icandoanythingpod.com Like and subscribe on Facebook - https://bit.ly/3bG0Efk Follow on X - https://bit.ly/2yqZczb Find me on Instagram - https://bit.ly/2xDFIa4 You can listen anywhere you get your podcasts, such as Spotify or Apple podcasts.

Episode 97 – Kayla Kowalski Tragedy with a View

Kayla and I were both on a social media thread revolving around a young girl's safety running at night.  From there, we've shared unsettling childhood encounters with potential kidnappers and how those moments shaped our instincts and caution as adults.  Trust your intuition, balance safety with enjoying the outdoors and the reality of threats that we as women face.  Kayla began podcasting because she loves deep‑diving into stories — something her friends didn't always want to do. Her show started as a collaborative effort with friends but evolved into a solo project. Her fiancé, Sam, supports her with the technical side.   Kayla explains that Tragedy with a View blends her love of the outdoors with her fascination for true stories of natural disasters, accidents, and occasionally true crime. She aims to honor victims by keeping their stories alive while exploring how nature can be both beautiful and dangerous.  Kayla also runs a powerful series called Girl Gone Running, which highlights cases of women murdered while running — a project inspired by her own experiences as a runner and concerns about safety.   Kayla uses Patreon and subscription platforms.  Importantly, 100% of her podcast profits are donated to a charity chosen by her listeners each year. She's reconsidering merch due to environmental concerns and may replace it with additional Patreon tiers.   Kayla's links: Website: tragedywithaview.com Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/TragedywithaView?utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/1AxRPt2xGs/?mibextid=wwXIfr Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tragedywithaview?igsh=MTN2ZDF3dWhobHI2Yw%3D%3D&utm_source=qr   You can follow the I Can Do Anything Podcast at: Email me at – icandoanythingpod@gmail.com And then there is always my website - www.icandoanythingpod.com Like and subscribe on Facebook - https://bit.ly/3bG0Efk Follow on X - https://bit.ly/2yqZczb Find me on Instagram - https://bit.ly/2xDFIa4 You can listen anywhere you get your podcasts, such as Spotify or Apple podcasts.

    Episode 95 – Troy Meadows

Suffering is a gift.  Suffering changed every part of Troy's life.  The gift is how you work through the change to mold and change who you are.  Ultras push Troy up against a limit and nothing is a given.  It's important that everyone experiences something really difficult and doing hard things is where real growth happens.   Proud farther, husband, ultra endurance runner and commentator's motto is "I don't know a stranger."  - Troy Meadows   Troy was blessed to travel the world before he was 18 years old and a self-proclaimed vagabond in his 20s. Ultralight backpacking was where Troy picked back up his love for the remote outdoors.  Troy would pull out a map, would circle an area to let his girlfriend, now wife, know a radius of where he'd be and let her know the time frame.   Troy ran cross country in high school, gave up running for a bit and then picked it back up in his 30s after a couple of traumatic events.  Since Troy had experience in backpacking coupled with his love for nature, ultra endurance events were the next step.   Natalie, Troy's wife, has been very supportive for the past 25 years.  She understands Troy's need to push his boundaries.  Natalie's influence has spanned being vegan to Troy completing a 1,000 day 11-minute meditation practice.   Troy explains that his upcoming event, Laurel Highlands 70.5 miles, will be an event where he'll suffer mightily in the woods.  Suffering is a gift.  Having these suffering experiences in a controlled environment makes you a better person.  What helps Troy is his 'Why' for the race and he likes to do hard things.  So much of trail running and ultra running is problem solving.  How you take your experiences and use it to your advantage at the next race is the beauty of this sport.  You don't have to be fast to finish an ultra, you just have to be determined.  Troy calls it failing forward.  In Troy's commentor life, Troy shows up with something to say due to his experience.  Also, on a live stream recently, Troy suggested to a listener that he needed to build his trade.   Troy brings value to us, the listeners.  Troy and I do share the gift of gab.   Troy is a marketer by trade, so it's no wonder that Troy has a successful weekly podcast, The Midpacker Pod.  On Troy's podcast, he talks to everyday runners doing extraordinary things on and off the trails.  Troy's perfect guest is an entrepreneur, has a family and it running ultras.  Troy coaches out of the Run Trail Life website.  Troy's experience in ultra marathons and a UESCA coaching certification will help the beginner to the advanced veteran.  The original concept of Run Trail Life was started as an apparel business.  Midpacker Pod merch can be purchased on this website.  Troy would love to see one of his shirts at an aid station or on a crew member at a race.  The shirts aren't made to run in, they're meant to be causal.    You can follow Troy at: Instagram – @troyontherun as well as @midpackerpod Website – runtraillife.com Spotify – The Midpacker Podcast LinkedIn – Troy Meadows   You can follow the I Can Do Anything Podcast at: Email me at – icandoanythingpod@gmail.com Watch on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeI1EHGodsDgwYbvHuOxLQQ And then there is always my website - www.icandoanythingpod.com Like and subscribe on Facebook - https://bit.ly/3bG0Efk Follow on X (Twitter) - https://bit.ly/2yqZczb Find me on Instagram - https://bit.ly/2xDFIa4 Get your merch here - https://bit.ly/teespringicdapod You can listen anywhere you get your podcasts, such as Spotify     I Can Do Anything Podcast https://www.icandoanythingpod.com/ https://icandoanything.libsyn.com Or you can listen anywhere you get your podcasts, such as Spotify.

    Episode 93 - Kim Krapcha

Kim started her athleticism as a four-year-old.  Kim has played several sports through her school years and hated running.  Ironically, Kim now is an ultra-runner.  Currently, Kim is a register dietician, RRCA Road Running Coach, Precision Nutrition Level 1 Nutrition Coach and a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.  Kim had great ideas to get past the 'guilt' of the holidays.  Bring a dish to pass that you know that you'll like and it's healthy.  Keep hydrated, take small bites of the foods that you want to try.  Also, Kim reminds us to eat a normal breakfast, and the other meals can be a fun meal.  One meal isn't going to make or break our weight loss or performance journey.  Kim does recommend limiting alcohol as there are empty calories, our bodies don't like digesting alcohol and it's not useful for us.    Going into 2025, what can your non-pro athlete do to help get through the year.  Staying hydrated is number one.  Starting your day with water is start.  Protein is also at the top of this list.  Many people need protein consistently throughout the day and being aware of what protein you're eating.  Fruits and vegetables should be added to more diets.  Frozen and canned are really good options as they're picked when they have the most nutrients.  Quality of food is the next level to work with.  Snacks on the go don't have to be hard.  You can take a cooler with you and carry protein shakes, fruits, hard boiled eggs, egg bites, cheese sticks, protein bars, protein cookies, vegetables or nuts.    I will be working with Kim on nutrition starting in February 2025.  In with Kim has a nice ring to it, so stay posted on my updates through 2025.    You can follow Kim at: LinkedIn – Kim Krapcha, MS, RD, CF-L1, CLT, RYT Instagram – mrc_nutritionandwellness as well as mudrunnerchick Facebook – Mud Runner Chick Website – https://mrcnutritionandwellness.com/     You can follow the I Can Do Anything Podcast at: Email me at – icandoanythingpod@gmail.com Watch on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeI1EHGodsDgwYbvHuOxLQQ And then there is always my website - www.icandoanythingpod.com Like and subscribe on Facebook - https://bit.ly/3bG0Efk Follow on X (Twitter) - https://bit.ly/2yqZczb Find me on Instagram - https://bit.ly/2xDFIa4 Get your merch here - https://bit.ly/teespringicdapod You can listen anywhere you get your podcasts, such as Spotify
