When my special day comes, the 1st thing that comes to MY mind, “I WANT to look healthy BEFORE, DURING, & AFTER the town, in reference to “after the wedding.”
I want to POINT out at 0:55, Laila is laying the ULTIMATE foundation; “How to slim down for the gown, the HEALTHIEST and SUSTAINABLE way.” She discusses, “mindset and lifestyle goals,” this statement has opened a new door for me!! The months before your special day, Laila makes a PERFECT point about making a “....full-out lifestyle change, in a MENTAL state & PHYSICAL change.” I am the center of attention on MY day, & I (with NO DOUBT) want to LOOK HEALTHY & AMAZING, because pictures last a lifetime, NOT the gourmet 5-course meal & NOT the flower arrangements(you get the point here). The fact of being CALM & PATIENT during the time before & during your special day is crucial, so THANK YOU for that tip. In a moment that is so beautiful and precious for you, should not be the wedding from hell!! You want to greet your guests, check if everything is in place, your mother-in-law is not going haywire about God knows what! Your guests also want to see you AFTER your wedding. And by all means, you WANT to have the same figure and desire to fit in your dress, that prob costed you a fortune! I have been to numerous weddings, elegant to causal, & believe it or not, when I would see the bride a while AFTER, she looks NOTHING like that; and believe me, it’s not the “amount of makeup or the dress,” it’s the bride!!!!
If anything, that was the best part of this podcast. Overall, this info is EXTREMELY insightful!!
ON ANOTHER NOTE, I was reading the review prior to my response. FIRST of all, I need to clarify for you Aaee080&, you mentioned in your review, the term “crabby” Laila dictated “stressed-out”: your stress would show in your body language and face, therefore your guests might be uncomfortable around you, and there’s no way of calming down from all that “running” you’ve been doing for the past few months.
Also, let me draw out for you Aaee080&, this podcast did NOT give the “‘constant pressure’ to be thin,” that mentality faded away years ago, where ‘thin was in’ and women (I assume) aspired to be a Victoria’s Secret model or skin and bones. SHE never mentioned the word “thin”. As I stated in my claim and Laila’s beginning statement, “slimming down for the gown the HEALTHIEST and SUSTAINABLE way!!” Every person has a diff body type, and feeling good and healthy is the most important thing; the internal feeling, not the physical aspect. There are brands out there that are PROUDLY advertising plus-size women, flaunting stretch marks/cellulite of all body types, and showing flaws. It’s the CONFIDENCE women are lacking, they look at others, but don’t look at themselves. YOU have control of what you put in your mouth, no one else does. *mic drop*
