An unstoppable Carissa Moore now claims back-to-back CT wins in 2026 with a remarkable run through the Surf City El Salvador Pro, culminating in a win over fellow CT veteran and two-time World Champ Tyler Wright. This marks Moore’s 30th-career CT victory and first in Central America. The five-time World Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist, Moore, continues to raise the bar for women’s power and progression, putting everything into last-minute heroics and excellent showcases. Then the event’s most consistent contender, Leonardo Fioravanti, completed his phenomenal surge all the way to a maiden CT victory over Italo Ferreira. Fioravanti’s third-career CT Final yielded his long-awaited breakthrough win after posting some of the event’s best performances from start to finish, including the event’s best single-score of a 9.00 in today’s Quarterfinals. Now, Moore moves to World No. 2, as Fioravanti jumps to World No. 3 heading to the VIVO Rio Pro with her family in full support. Plus, sensational runs at Punta Roca earned runner-up finishes for Wright and Ferreira.     Post Show: New Zealand Pro - Moore, Ferreira’s parent strength take pivotal New Zealand wins | Corona Cero Post Show Finals Day

    Emotions were abundant on a remarkable finish to the Corona Cero New Zealand Pro Presented by Bonsoy, celebrating Carissa Moore and Italo Ferreira’s victories in dedication to their families.  A statement-making win and the most special chair-up for Moore to date ended her full circle moment in New Zealand, where she won her first CT 16 years ago. Moore’s insatiable backhand power led to an incredible comeback against an in-form Sawyer Lindblad, accounting for a 9.40 toward a 29th CT win and her first as a mother.  Following that emotional victory, Ferreira kept the family first mentality as he soared his way to an 11th-career CT victory with his baby and wife back in Brazil cheering him on. Morgan Cibilic made Ferreira work for the win, posting an 8.80 on his backhand, but Ferreira’s firepower was too much and shut down Ciblic’s remarkable run from Round 1 all the way to the Final. Now, the rankings have shifted following major disruptions to the upper echelon with fireworks from those looking for major results. The yellow jersey continues to switch hands, but staying within the Brazilian Storm courtesy of Ferreira.  Finals Day dismantling followed the opening horn, with Cibilic putting the world’s best on notice once more in his CT return and putting on a dominant display over Griffin Colapinto. Plus, Lindblad’s iconic run adds to her recent surge to finish the first four stops on Tour following a tough opener as she now sits at No. 5 on the ranks.  From Manu Bay’s remarkable left of Raglan to the scorching right of Punta Roca, the Tour now prepares to take over La Libertad for the Surf City El Salvador Pro Presented by Corona Cero beginning June 5 - 15.
