For our 6th episode we welcomed Miriam Dalli. Member of the European Parliament from Malta, she pushed for the implementation of the European Green Deal and was a key player in instating mandatory CO2 emission reductions for automotive manufacturers. Miriam sat down with our hosts to talk about the importance of CO2 reduction in the automotive sector, how Europe should be energy independent and her vision on truly zero-emission cars.

It's all about solar mobility in the 5th episode of Reflections as eco-explorer and speaker Raphaël Domjan sat down at our "virtual" table. In the third episode of our podcast we dive into the concept behind Lightyear One and how this future product is engineered & designed. So what came first, the technical side or the design part? Through this podcast you get to know two Co-founders of Lightyear, namely Arjo van der Ham (Chief Technology Officer) and Koen van Ham (Chief Design Officer) and hear their story about: how to build a solar car? How do you develop & build a new vehicle that is set to cause a system change? Our guests reflect on their biggest challenges so far as they take us along their journey.

In our first episode, we welcome Lex Hoefsloot, CEO and one of the founders of Lightyear. We are starting at the beginning of the story of Lightyear: Why is Lightyear created? It is a real-life story that we are excited about. It is a strong commitment as well, that is integral to who we are, who we are becoming and forms the foundation for our mission, vision and brand promise.

We (Auke & Noortje) give you insights on the driving force behind Lightyear: its people. In this episode, we will be talking with Maijke who has been with Lightyear since the beginning and has seen it grow exponentially, and talk about how she contributes to keeping everything organized & structured. Chris Vorster, one of Lightyear’s employees from South Africa, will join the discussion and tell us everything about his childhood dream of building a solar car and his personal journey towards Lightyear. Last but not least we are joined by Johan, who tells us about his motivation to take the leap from 'big' Tesla to the smaller scale-up Lightyear to make even more impact.
