Beverly Talks is an audio time capsule of human connection in Beverly, Massachusetts. Between 2019 and 2020, three neighbors and friends—Lucia, Alison, and Michael—set out to meet their neighbors, recording conversations in public places and sharing their reflections in the studio. Blending the sounds of these encounters with the spontaneity of getting to know someone new, the podcast preserves a moment in an analog world, inviting us to rediscover the magic of face-to-face connections as in-person encounters become less common.     Rick Heath - Magic show artist in love of human potential

    Rick has spent much of his adult life in Beverly working closely with the late Cesareo Pelaez, former owner of Le Grand David Spectacular Magic Show. The show earned a Guinness World Record as the longest consecutively running stage magic show in the world. In this episode, Rick shares the lessons he learned from working with Cesareo, along with stories that show how Cesareo positively influenced both his life and the Beverly community.     Tony Toledo - Enjoying his life while telling stories

    In his own words, Tony Toledo is a “freelance artist, storyteller, book collector, folk music fan, letter writer, professional pie taster, Corn Party co-host, Speak Up Spoken Word Open Mic emcee, bicycle rider, and ASL talker.” In this episode, Tony shares what brought him to Beverly after growing up in Defiance, Ohio, and how he discovered his path as a professional storyteller.     Bill Mantone - A warrior behind a clarinet

    Bill grew up knowing he wanted to be a musician but from an early age he found multiple obstacles to pursue his desire to play music.     Nancy Coffey - Adventurous woman explains a historic division in Beverly

    Nancy Coffey is a Beverly Farms resident and she documented the stories of immigrant workers that worked at Beverly Farms back in the late 1800 and early 1900. In her effort to document these stories Nancy learned why Beverly Farms, a neighborhood in Beverly, remained as an isolated community overtime. Also, in this episode, we’ll learn some of Nancy’s adventures around the world before she married and settled in Beverly Farms.
