New podcast, potential to improve
Probably best for kids with minimal knowledge of the issues. You’ll learn some stuff here, but not to any great depth.
Tends to have friends on as guests, as such their opinions often aren’t much different from his own: mild right wing slant.
For example, the Electoral College episode, he has on a buddy who shares the exact same view as him and determines the other side disagrees because they are “butthurt.” Second guest has no knowledge or opinion on the subject. So one side presented, not the purported discussion of guests with differing views.
But he’s new, still time to improve.
Ummm disappointing
The electoral college “discussion” left much to be desired. I was really interested in seeing a comparison of two different perspectives and there was no effort to have them equally reflected/articulated. Crash and burn. Bummer.
Get back to class
“Let’s hear both sides on the Electoral College. Arguing for is a reasonably informed guy who’ll take potshots at Democrats then urge us all to stop taking potshots at each other, then take another potshot. Arguing against is my cousin, who hasn’t had breakfast yet. As soon as I explain to him what the Electoral College is, saying Nevada when I mean Nebraska, I’ll get his opinion, which, it turns out, is now in favor. I hope we all learned something today.”
