Evangeline explained to Everett how they investigate crimes, Doris compelled Loreley Beerfass to reveal that it had not, in fact, been a “normal night” and Val broke into a locked shed only to find bloody symbols on the ground and a corpse, its flayed face contorted in a scream.     With the shooters having blown up the squad car, damaged Cherry and peeled away in different directions, the coterie commandeered two vehicles and split up to cover more ground. Doris stayed behind to watch the crime scene and had a meaningful conversation about nothing with occult shop owner Margery Pritchard, Everett and Val cornered one of the vans in an alley and began their attack, and Evangeline found the second van as it came out of nowhere and crashed into her.
