Pros:
-Great interviews with industry insiders. This show has the best interviews and guests of any pinball podcast.
-Parsons is back. Great to have Jeff back on the pinball podcast airwaves.
-Dr. Pin seems to be a great guy.
Cons:
-Swearing for the sake of swearing. Not sure why, but Franchi seems to be obsessed with swearing. So much that it takes away from the credibility of the show. Swears are often used out of context and don’t even make sense in the sentence. Odd take, and unfortunate that I cannot listen to this podcast in the car if my son is with me, who also loves pinball.
-Franchi has some odd obsession with that clown, Kaneda. Clearly Franchi has allowed Kaneda to get under his skin. Let it go, bro. Kaneda can bury himself without your help.
-The audio cut-aways are way, way overdone. One every 4-5 min would be fine, but these come nearly every minute, with some silly movie quote or some obscure quote from something nobody really knows about.
-The editing of the dialog. Something they do to edit this show to shrink time makes it so distracting. Hosts and guests sound like they have been altered in the way they speak with the editing. People say “Um” from time to time, it is okay to leave that in, really. This time-saving editing is a huge distraction and makes the dialog feel artificial.
