    Simpler Is Better: How Spirit Speaks to Us

    I almost walked out of a class I had been nudged to attend, and I would have called it a sign. How often do we do that? We get frustrated, and we call it guidance. In this episode I share a morning at a monastery near my home: the gentle nudge that wouldn't go away, a stranger named Juan Pablo who walked me to the door, the two voices I felt at once, and one more sign I never expected. It all brought me back to one simple truth: our relationship with God is simpler than we make it. This week's practice: when you feel pulled in two directions, put your hand on your heart and ask, "Where do I feel this? Is it gentle and loving, or pushy and urgent?"
