The Mystery Revealer (Jim Ellis) | RESIST (October 4, 2026)

Welcome to Bismarck Community Church! In this second sermon of our "RESIST" series, Pastor Jim Ellis explores Daniel 2:46–49 and what it means to trust God when faced with uncertainty about the future. If you are searching for a Christian church in Bismarck, ND, or seeking hope and practical wisdom for living out your faith today, we invite you to discover how God is sovereign over human history and is the ultimate Revealer of mysteries. Looking at Daniel 2, Jim highlights how Daniel and his friends stood firm with confidence and gave all credit to God when King Nebuchadnezzar demanded his dream to be interpreted. While our culture often longs to know what the future holds, Daniel’s story points us to the grander redemptive narrative—where the ultimate mystery is revealed in the person of Jesus Christ. As we continue this series on standing firm in exile, we are reminded that in every situation, our response should be to seek God's mercy and place our complete trust in Him. WEEKLY REFLECTION QUESTION: Where in your life right now are you being invited to seek God's mercy and trust Him with the unknown? If you live in Bismarck, Mandan, or the surrounding area, we would love to worship with you this Sunday at 10:00 AM! The Giver (Jim Ellis) | RESIST (September 27, 2026)

Welcome to Bismarck Community Church! In this first sermon of our "RESIST" series, Pastor Jim Ellis explores Daniel 1 and what it looks like to maintain faithfulness in exile when culture feels like a strong current. If you are searching for a Christian church in Bismarck, ND, or seeking hope and practical wisdom for living out your faith today, we invite you to discover how God is sovereign over all and is the ultimate Giver in our lives. Looking at Daniel 1, Jim highlights that we go to the Book of Daniel not to induce fear, but to give us hope. As followers of Jesus who recognize we are not home yet, we see that every opportunity, favor, and bit of wisdom is a gift from God. As we begin this new series on standing firm, we are challenged to reflect on what God is inviting us to resist doing so we can walk slowly and steadily in His grace. WEEKLY REFLECTION QUESTION: What is God inviting you to resist doing right now? If you live in Bismarck, Mandan, or the surrounding area, we would love to worship with you this Sunday at 10:00 AM! Knowing the Knower (Jim Ellis) | HEAR (September 20, 2026)

Welcome to Bismarck Community Church! In this final sermon of our "HEAR" series, Pastor Jim Ellis explores John 10:27 and what it means to truly know Jesus and hear His voice in our daily lives. If you are searching for a Christian church in Bismarck, ND, or seeking a deeper connection with God, we invite you to discover how Jesus knows you personally and calls you into first-hand experience with Him. Looking at John 10:27 and John 17:3, Jim highlights the heart of the Gospel: before we ever knew God, He knew and loved us. Following Jesus isn't about head knowledge or second-hand religion—it's about living in the daily reality of being known by the Good Shepherd. As we wrap up this series, we are challenged to reflect on two life-changing questions: What is God saying to you, and what are you going to do about it? WEEKLY REFLECTION QUESTIONS: What is God saying to me right now? What am I going to do about it today? If you live in Bismarck, Mandan, or the surrounding area, we would love to worship with you this Sunday at 10:00 AM! Our Restless Souls (Jim Ellis) | HEAR (September 13, 2026)

In week five of our "HEAR" series, Pastor Jim Ellis unwraps the ultimate promise of Matthew 11:25–30: "You will find rest for your souls." Looking at the Kairos moments in our lives—pivotal times when God invites us into deep inner transformation—Jim connects Jesus' words directly back to Jeremiah 6:16. When we answer the call to come, take, and learn, we enter into a life-giving relationship that rescues us from our own striving. As Augustine famously noted, our hearts remain restless until they find rest in God. To hear from Him and experience His re-creation, we must be willing to pull into the "rest stops" along our journey and walk daily alongside Christ. Weekly Challenge: What does your next rest stop with Jesus look like? Take time this week to pause, pull over, and ask: “God, what are You saying to me, and what am I going to do about it?” STAY CONNECTED  🗓️ This Week at BCC: https://bismarckcc.org/this-week-at-bcc/  🙏 Prayer Request: https://bismarckcc.aware3.net/form/T38OdWE?authToken=__token__ 🎁 Give Online: https://bismarckcc.org/donate/ ⛪️ NEW TO BCC? The Unforced Rhythms of Grace (Jim Ellis) | Hear (September 6, 2026)

In week four of our "HEAR" series, Pastor Jim Ellis explores the third active command in Matthew 11:28–30: "Learn from me." Unpacking the Greek root behind "learn"—which is deeply connected to being a disciple—Jim reminds us that we are created to be lifelong learners of Jesus. Following Christ isn't about arriving at complete perfection; it's about walking, working, and watching how Jesus lives so we can experience His unforced rhythms of grace in our daily lives. As disciples, we are challenged to slow down, find a quiet space, and sit with God to gain fresh understanding and build deeper trust in Him. Weekly Challenge: Find a quiet space with God this week, sit in His presence, and ask: “God, what are You teaching me right now, and how can I walk with You today?” STAY CONNECTED  🗓️ This Week at BCC: https://bismarckcc.org/this-week-at-bcc/  🙏 Prayer Request: https://bismarckcc.aware3.net/form/T38OdWE?authToken=__token__ 🎁 Give Online: https://bismarckcc.org/donate/ ⛪️ NEW TO BCC? The Best Thing You Will Ever Do (Jim Ellis) | HEAR (August 30, 2026)

In week three of our "HEAR" series, Pastor Jim Ellis explores the second part of Jesus' invitation in Matthew 11:28–30. Beyond the call to "come," Jesus gives a warm, urgent, and active challenge: "Take my yoke upon you." Looking at the Greek imperatives, Jim unpacks how a yoke binds us together with Christ and invites us into His way of living—a life marked by agape love for God, love for others, and stepping out in the Great Commission. While the "empire of me" often stands in the way, taking on Jesus' yoke isn't burdensome; it is a yoke of true freedom. Weekly Challenge: Spend 9 minutes with God in Matthew 22:33–40 this week and ask Him: “What are you saying to me, and how should I respond?” STAY CONNECTED  🗓️ This Week at BCC: https://bismarckcc.org/this-week-at-bcc/  🙏 Prayer Request: https://bismarckcc.aware3.net/form/T38OdWE?authToken=__token__ 🎁 Give Online: https://bismarckcc.org/donate/ ⛪️ NEW TO BCC? All of Life Is a Come-To-Jesus Moment (Jim Ellis) | HEAR (August 23, 2026)

In week two of our series "Hear," Pastor Jim Ellis dives back into Matthew 11:25–30 to unpack a warm, urgent, and life-changing invitation from Jesus: "Come." While we often think of a "come to Jesus" moment as hitting rock bottom, Jim reminds us that all of life is meant to be an ongoing turning toward Him. Whether we are weary, distracted, or feel like we've failed, the Good Shepherd is constantly calling us out of our striving and back to our true home in Christ. As we continue to ask, “What is God saying to me, and how should I respond?” this week’s message challenges us to step into a Kairos moment, come honestly to Jesus, and allow Him to change us from the inside out.     STAY CONNECTED  🗓️ This Week at BCC: https://bismarckcc.org/this-week-at-bcc/  🙏 Prayer Request: https://bismarckcc.aware3.net/form/T38OdWE?authToken=__token__ 🎁 Give Online: https://bismarckcc.org/donate/ ⛪️ NEW TO BCC? Encouragement In Today's World (Bud Kuhn) | August 9, 2026

Guest speaker Bud Kuhn shares a timely standalone message on the profound impact of biblical encouragement in our lives today. Drawing from the life of Barnabas—the "son of encouragement"—and key passages across Hebrews, Romans, Thessalonians, and Colossians, Bud explores what it truly means to come alongside someone and provide hope. This sermon reminds us how we can actively build up the church body by being encouraged through the Scriptures, drawing strength from the faith of others, and intentionally exhorting and encouraging one another daily.     STAY CONNECTED  🗓️ This Week at BCC: https://bismarckcc.org/this-week-at-bcc/  🙏 Prayer Request: https://bismarckcc.aware3.net/form/T38OdWE?authToken=__token__ 🎁 Give Online: https://bismarckcc.org/donate/ ⛪️ NEW TO BCC?
