    Do Not Approach Zina: Protecting Families, Protecting Society

    In this episode of The Revert Show, we continue our series on families by reflecting on the verse from Surat al-Isra: “Do not approach zina (fornication), indeed it is an abomination and an evil way” (Qur’an 17:32). We explore why Allah commanded us not only to avoid zina but to stay away from everything that leads to it, and how this protects individuals, families, and society. Using real statistics on single-parent households, children raised without fathers, and the rising number of births outside marriage, we shed light on the catastrophic impact of ignoring this divine guidance. At the same time, we highlight the mercy and wisdom of Allah’s system of marriage, where the man is obligated to provide for his wife and children, and even after divorce, continues to bear responsibility. Marriage ensures love, protection, lineage, and the survival of humanity with dignity.
