    CH 6 || Anxiously Attach to the IDEA of Something w/o Letting them Find You Out

    2026-09-23   Chapter six walks through patterns of self-rejection that plays into relationships. Friendships, or relationships that are long-term, have lasted through the test of time, know you well. You still perform. When vulnerabilities come up, you say, then you run. Don't reach out to them for a while. Go ghost until you figure it out.  Leave before they have the chance to accept you in your mess.    It comes into play when there is someone new and exciting because they have no reason to reject you. You get addicted to this, anxiously attached. Attached to your "Perfect Self", also who you are with alcohol. This isn't real. If they love you, it's only an idea of you. So when they give you an inch of maybe a rejection is coming, that is when our nervous system alarm system goes off, "They got bored of you! THey figured you out! THey aren't addicted to you like you are addicted to them, therefore you aren't worthy!!"   This episode walks through these patterns and what it looks like in real time. Also, practices of what we can do instead. Exercises of strengthening the what-if POSTITIVE muscle, instead of feeding the what-if NEGATIVE muscle. The brain is made up of neuropathways, we choose our experience on this earth, no one else.    Amazon: AMAZON - 'MEET ME AT MIDNIGHT' - BOOK

    Marilyn Raichle || Alzheimer's + Finding HAPPINESS

    A conversation how Alzheimer's taught Marilyn how to love, how to receive love, and the beauty that life holds when we embrace this simpler life. She talks how she despised that she was the "chosen one" to be her mother's caregiver, yet how it changed her life. She wishes everyone could experience this, so she wrote a book so they could through her journey!! Enjoy the conversation :) "Marilyn Raichle, founder of The Art of Alzheimer’s and Executive Director of Maude’s Awards for Innovation in Alzheimer’s Care. Marilyn's mother, Jean McFee Raichle, like many people in her family, lived with Alzheimer’s in her 80’s. The other perspective is that of Jean herself, who, through her vibrant and intriguing paintings, tells a story of creativity and community, one that has already touched and inspired thousands of families facing similar challenges." Finding Peace in the NOW

    "Right now I can hear God laughin' Guess he must have heard my plans and my hopes, thought it was a joke, Gave me more than I could ask... I wish I knew back then there's no perfect in life." Brett Young (feat. Gavin DeGraw) 'Chapters' ________ "You didn't even try to navigate your emotions- If your heart was beating with anxiety or excitement,  You embraced it. Trust the process. The night didn't go as expected. But as you walked, you took it all in. You felt like the outcast- But your heart was full. This was the perfect night. Not becasue it was glamorous. Not because it was extravagant. But because you had let go of expectations. Because you had allowed yourself to be free and spontaneous. And in that, you had found magic."
