We're back for another special solo edition of the podcast & after the big official announcement, I thought it high time to get yammerin' about 'The Joy of Lucha Libre with Chris Things' at Superwow Gallery! This one is a bit of a behind-the-curtains peak into my current life putting together this thing. As an international-scale all-Lucha Libre group exhibition (currently with 25 artists!) there are a lot of moving parts to get together. I also have a bunch of new art of my own to make for it! So today I'm chatting about these things, along with a general long-winded ramble about exactly what it means to me to get to put together what I believe is Australia's FIRST EVER all-Lucha art exhibition in a gallery space!     Wrestling Art Ep. 114 - Chris Things MOTW w/ Joe: IN-PERSON Tripleheader

    Episode 114 is here pals! We're back for some IN-PERSON 'Match of the Week' action with my dear pal, Joe chattin' three matches that I loved a lot along with a team-effort intro segment about all the latest in my Wrestling-Art life. This wonderfully atmospheric episode was recorded live to tape at Green Beacon Brewing Co in Newstead over a few beers. Hope you dig the 'ambiance'! So on the wrestling front, we are chatting an early 90s WCW nostalgia-fest int he form of SID vs The Stinger from Halloween Havoc '93, one of the greatest UK indie matches that I've ever seen in Big Van Walter vs Speedball Mike Bailey from 2018 Riptide Wrestling AND an absolutely fantastic Chicago World Championship bout between CM Punk & Finn Balor from February of this year. In our aforementioned intro-segment, we chat about my participation in THIS WEEKEND's Opening night of Deimo's Skateboards' COWBOYS Group art exhibition at Working Title Brewery, Lucha Fantastica making their big return to Brisbane AND of course, as announced in our last episode, the BIG Group Lucha Libre Art Exhibition that I am personally curating ont he Sunshine Coast ont he evening of September 26th!     Episode 113 is here pals! We're back for a special solo edition of the podcast as I have a big ol' special announcement for you. But before we get to that, I'm ramble-chattin' with you all about an absolutely wonderful weekend, chock full of wonderful connections. Firstly we had another fantastically wholesome Brisbane Illustration Fair (thank you SO MUCH to everyone who came out & supported & brought the delightful chats). We then had another fantastically weird & wonderful CULT-LUCHA at Netherworld this past Sunday Night watching "Los Luchadoras vs. El Medico Asesino"! My tag-team partner in this thing, Trash Video's Andrew Leavold & I had just the best time on this one & were totally wowed by the amazing community that have come together for this wonderful curiosity. I also talk the incredible recent developments of Chris Things Art being featured on this weeks' amazing Dark Side of The Ring "Necro Butcher vs Samoa Joe" deep-dive episode! What a world!! It's "Match of the Week" 'Double-Double-Header'  time w/ good friend of the show, Richard of Video Plant - chattin' FOUR absolutely incredible matches - each of which likely deserve their own episode, so this might be a long one! We've got AJ Styles vs Walter from earlier this year, Mil Máscaras vs The Destroyer in a 1973 All Japan CLASSIC, a wonderfully enjoyable '96 CMLL trios bout with Dr. WagnerJr., Felino & Apollo Dantes vs. Hector Garza, Atlantis & El Dandy, followed by a barn-burner of an Hijo Del Santo vs Dr. Cerebro IWRG bout from 2001 that Richard kindly brought to my attention.
