growing up, I loved stories about faeries, mermaids, and other such mythical creatures, so I’ve been reigniting that flame recently as a way to reconnect with my inner child - and, as I was in search of podcasts that focused on such stories, I was delighted when I discovered this one here on apple podcasts! I love the energy of it, and the fact that our lovely host shares with her listeners where we can find the places that these folk tales take place! it’s a nice way to pass the time, and I could listen to these stories all day. if you’re at all curious about the legends and tales that take place in the U.K, I’d definitely give this one a listen!

I’m so happy to see this podcast return from hiatus. It’s definitely in my top five folklore podcasts. The host has a warm yet enthusiastic tone that makes it clear how much she loves these stories, and listening will make you love them too. Now I want to move to the UK so I can visit the locations discussed in the show. Great work!

The Faerie Folk is a delightful audio travel guide for the U.K. Each episode highlights a story or two connected to a specific region or two, starting with the lore and continuing with the history. The sound effects are often adorable and the host's energy is delightful, making episodes fun and energizing to listen to.

I love a good folk/faerie podcast - but I typically don’t like just straight up story telling podcasts. I like the ones that break down the story, talk about the history, and explain the lore behind the creatures and stories. This one is perfect. The host is delightful to listen to, the music/editing is really soothing, and it’s the perfect balance between storytelling as well as history/research. Excited to listen more!
