In fact, he's still a mentor of mine who used to tell us in these small group coaching calls we would get on [inaudible]. We would say, well how do we know if we'll be successful? And he would say things like, well once you turn on your ad, all you need is 1% and that will give you a seven-figure business. And it was very confusing because we weren't sure what he, which metric he was talking about 1% of what 1% of buyers, 1% of clicks. We just, we weren't exactly sure. But as I started running my own Facebook ads and later learned to be an expert on YouTube ads as well, I very quickly figured out exactly what he was talking about. And I can't wait to share it with you today because it's made all the difference in my business. There are multiple ways to purchase ads from Facebook. They charge you based on the different results that you get with them. So one of the most basic ways to get results is per impression. In other words, it's the number of times that your ad is shown out into the world. I want you to think of your Facebook ad as the television set and we don't know, um, you can put in your likes and your interests of who's going to watch your ad. And as soon as Facebook sees it, those people are logged in. Then they show the ad to them. Okay? So, so when Facebook charges you at the, at the end of the day or at the end of the month or whatever for your ad, it'll say, okay, we typically a charge, they charge 1 cent or one penny per one view. So what exactly is this law of 1% that I'm talking about? Well, as it turns out if you go and put out an ad on Facebook, or even if you were to glyphs, say you went to a mall and you know those kiosks that they have in the middle of the mall where people just walk by left and right and no one ever seems to buy. Well, studies have shown us that 1% of everybody, of 100 people are ready to make a purchase at any one given time, typically in a cold market. Okay? So if you've got a bunch of people, you're at the kiosk and you've got 99 people walking by, technically the next 100th person to walk by in theory, statistically saying, what should be ready to purchase the one, the next item on at your display. ---------- Sunni Hearin is a Digital Marketer living near Seattle, Washington.
