For the 12th episode, I met up with Domi aka. Dohus in the Kaduka Bar in Berlin-Neukölln. As always, it's all about the first steps into music and inspiration. You will get around quickly how versatile and passionate my guest is: we talk about the love for vinyl and his activity in the collective Das Vinyl Wohnzimmer as well as his graffiti past and open air events with the Cura crew. Find out what a doctor in Griessmühle has to do with Domi's beginnings in electronic music and why he once had to call the police at one of his illegal raves. We listen to his yet unreleased, lovely driving-melodic tracks and raise the question why there are still so few women in music production. Do you also want to hear and know everything? Then, press play!

Dr. John Johnson (ICONYC) - Back To Who I Am

"A friend coming to a friend, sitting down and talking. Getting to know these people on a level that's never been done before…" This is how John Johnson describes the concept for his exciting forthcoming ICONYC TV Netflix series and it's exactly how this podcast feels. My first episode of 2022, it's a truly unique and inspiring story of a man with such a strong sense of creative ambition it's taken him around the world and back again. John's epic journey began with a passion for techno in early 90s Frankfurt and led to years of international touring and DJing throughout the 90s and early 2000s. After a departure to focus on his health and other interests such as fashion and studying a doctorate in business studies, he returned to the music game five years ago to launch ICONYC Music. A media company that lives up to its name, ICONYC now boasts TV series for Red Bull, the first ever Bitwig music academy and the aforementioned documentary series on the world's biggest streaming platform 'Netflix' that will launch next year. These are just some of the highlights in this intriguing and revealing conversation I had with John, a usually private individual whose experiences remind us that life is what we make it and that the best things often come to us in ways we least expect them to. John explains how music is emotion, life and a language and he believes we are all iconic in our own special way. This interview is definitely iconic. A friend talking to a friend; get to know John on a level that's seldom seen before. Enjoy…
