The JD Dragon Disability Rights Podcast: "The show where we look at how disability and diversity are connected" I'm Joshua Downey and I was born with Cerebral Palsy and Dyspraxia and I am dedicated to sharing my story and experiences with the world. Over the course of this show you will learn about various issues facing people with disabilities today and how their lives are affected in different parts of the world and how disability and diversity are connected. Episodes are released in English and German.

    The Guernsey Blind Association (Interview with Chantelle Tucker)

    Today we have the pleasure of being joined by Chantelle Tucker from the Guernsey Blind Association. For over 100 years, the Guernsey Blind Association has been the island's only charity dedicated solely to supporting people with sight loss. We support people of all ages across the Bailiwick of Guernsey, offering practical advice, specialist services and ongoing support to help people live independently, confidently and safely. Whether your sight loss is present from birth or has developed later in life through illness, accident or injury, we're here to help you and those who care for you every step of the way. Long Cane Training teaches people with sight loss how to use a long white cane to move around safely, confidently and independently. Chantelle our Orientation and Mobility instructor tailors training to each individual’s needs, pace and goals. Sighted Guide Training teaches the skills to confidently and safely guide someone with a visual impairment. All training is offered by The Guernsey Blind Association completely free of charge.     Changing Lives in Gibraltar and Morocco (Interview with Jinson Lima)

    Changing Lives is a Gibraltar-registered charity (Charity No. 374) dedicated to delivering practical, life-changing support to vulnerable people in Morocco and Gibraltar. Rather than providing cash, we focus on tangible projects that have a lasting impact, including specialist disability equipment, educational support, mobility aids, community development, and improving the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities and those facing hardship. Jinson Lima is the founder and Chairman of Changing Lives. For over 20 years, He has led humanitarian projects across Morocco, and in 2026 we established the charity to ensure this work continues for future generations.     The Guernsey Disability Alliance (Interview with Carol Le Page)

    Carol Le Page is the Social Policy Officer of the Guernsey Disability Alliance (GDA) and is its only employee. She has a wealth of experience having worked for the States of Guernsey government for over 28 years and the third sector in Guernsey for 10 years, the last 6 of which have been working for the GDA.The GDA provides a voice for anyone affected by disability in Guernsey including people with impairments and their carers.
