    TT006 - Thankful for Scott

I always said I wasn't having kids, and part of that was not getting married. Here I am blessed with a life and family that I never planned for. I could never imagine my future self with any of the guys that I met/dated. Scott has shown me that ultimately, my decision was right in how he has made God and our marriage a priority. Like I mentioned last week, marriage isn't easy and this step-blended family deal escalates that. I am thankful for my loving husband, Scott. Take 30 seconds with me to be grateful for your spouse and if you are single, for all the people that you have dated and the strength for not settling. MM005 - What did Valentine's Day look like at your house?

Valentine's Day - "the day of love". However, that looks different in each household. As a new wife, this Valentine's Day was spent learning more about how to have a successful marriage. But also it came up about celebrating Valentine's Day with kids, so I was curious if this is something other people do. Also for single parents, this can be a difficult time, so I wanted to acknowledge that as well.  Lastly, this is a friendly reminder -  Moms, Make sure to remember to take a moment for some self-care!!! Let me know how was Valentine's Day celebrated in your home?! https://www.facebook.com/groups/LBTSmommymondays/ Music by: https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Monroeville_Music_Center/Le_Progrs/Monroeville_Music_Center_-_Le_Progrs_-_01_En_Route_ou_Enfin_Le_Dfil_Capsule_de_Temps_va_au_Centre_de_Contrle

TT005 - Thankful for Gil & Brenda and Family Life

Getting married later in life, this being a second marriage for Scott, blended family with kids on both sides, 70% divorce statistic for blended families....the odds were stacked against us. We were definitely not on the right track and I am thankful that we came in touch with Family Life an organization whose whole existence centers around building families through building strong marriages. https://www.familylife.com/ Through that organization, thankfully we met the amazing duo, Gil and Brenda, who have walked alongside us to help us get back on track and moving our marriage forward. https://gilandbrenda.com/         https://youtu.be/IqX9M5zvG94 Take 30 seconds with me to be grateful for family members, friends and/or church cheerleaders that support your marriage and if you're not married that support you and your growth as an individual.  Join us at https://www.facebook.com/groups/lbtsthankfulthursday/ and share what are you thankful for today?!
