The Tidwell Sermons

I cannot say enough good things about Gerald and his preaching. He lived what he preached. I’m so grateful to have had him as my friend and pastor. He was an integral part of the shaping of who I am and my understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He could paint a word picture that indelibly imprinted in one’s heart and mind. I am forever changed and grateful for the Lord’s using him in my life. My main concern about this podcast is the variation in the sound of Gerald’s voice. Sometimes, his voice is high-pitched and mousy, but his voice in life was never that way. Sometimes, there are extreme variations from sermon to sermon within the same sermon series. I would love to see this issue remedied if possible.

Gerald was one of the best orators of Scripture I have ever witnessed. I’ve had the opportunity to serve and listen to the best of the best preachers; however, Gerald was the best kept secret in Southern Baptist life. His humility and simplicity to shun the limelight allowed God to use him mightily in small town Durant, OK. I’m grateful to have a resource I can hear a man who knew how to rightly divide the Word of God. Thank you Gerald for being used by God to touch so many with the Gospel!
