    364. Stop Striving: You Were Made for Delight! - Audio

Are you living as though your worth is defined by how productive, useful, or busy you are? In this message, Jessica explores the biblical truth that we were made for delight. So often, we get trapped in "task mode"—believing we can only enjoy life once all the work is done. But God invites us into something deeper: discovering that our belovedness comes before our usefulness, and that joy and rest are not rewards we have to earn, but gifts to receive. * Key Takeaways & Topics: Beloved Before Useful: How the Father spoke Jesus’ identity before any public ministry began (Matthew 3:17). Breaking the "Usefulness Trap": Why we feel guilty when resting and how to let go of productivity-driven worth. Extravagant Love & Celebration: What Jesus’ first miracle (John 2) and Mary’s anointing (John 12) teach us about celebrating without needing utility. Enjoyment vs. Consumption: Moving from a mindset of lack to lingering in gratitude and presence. Sabbath & Childlike Play: Reclaiming space to stop producing and experience wonder again. * Scripture References: Matthew 3:17 — "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." Genesis 1:31 — God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. John 2:1–11 — The Wedding at Cana. John 12:1–8 — Mary anoints Jesus with costly perfume. 1 Timothy 6:17 — God richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Ecclesiastes 3:12–13 — Finding joy and satisfaction as the gift of God. * Question for You: What is one small way you can give yourself permission to delight and rest with the Lord this week? 361. Living From the Future (Part 2): "The Becoming" - Audio

How does true transformation actually happen? In Part 2 of our "Living from the Future" series, we dive into "The Becoming" - the process of allowing God’s vision for your future to shape who you are today. Many of us approach spiritual growth like a renovation project, focusing on what we need to "fix" or "stop doing." But real change doesn't begin with self-rejection; it begins with revelation. When we behold the truth of who we already are in Christ, we naturally begin to embody that reality. *In this session, we explore:* * The Power of Beholding: How encountering God’s love shifts us from performance to presence. * Future Memories: Recognizing the glimpses of who you are becoming before they are fully manifested. * The Future as a Curriculum: Understanding why old fears or resistance surface when you're moving toward freedom. * The Eternal Now: Learning to participate with God in the only place transformation happens—the present moment. Stick around until the end for a guided meditation to help you identify the "seeds of possibility" God is calling forward in your life right now. *We Invite You to Join the Conversation:* What is one small way you can participate with your "becoming" this week? 359. Living From the Future (Part 1): "Why Your Imagination is Key to Your Growth" - Audio

What if the past is not the only place from which you can understand your life? In this opening session of our "Living From the Future" series, we explore a powerful shift in perspective: moving from being "historians" of our past to active participants in our "becoming." While we are often taught to define ourselves by our history - our wounds, mistakes, and successes - God invites us to look toward the possibilities He is revealing. *In this session, we discuss:* * Faith as a Forward-Looking Force: Exploring Hebrews 11:1 and how faith points us toward the "unseen" and the "emerging." * The Power of Imagination: Why God took Abraham outside to look at the stars, and how our imagination is the place where God expands our capacity to perceive. * Breaking the Cycle of Yesterday: Learning how the past can inform us without limiting the possibilities of our tomorrow. * The Planter’s Perspective: Understanding that while we see a seed or a sprout, God sees the fullness of the "mighty oak" He has already prepared. This teaching includes a guided reflection designed to help you quiet the noise of the past and begin to hear the "whisper" of what is emerging in your life right now. *Reflection Question:* What is one "future memory" or desire you’ve felt lately that might actually be an invitation from God? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
