Poly Processing News You Can Use, June 2026

00:42 — WEFTEC 2026 Distributor Meeting Poly Processing will attend WEFTEC 2026 booth #3553 in New Orleans and host a municipal distributor breakfast meeting on Tuesday, September 29, at the Courtyard by Marriott New Orleans Warehouse Arts District Hotel. 01:22 — WEFTEC Booth Engagement Distributors are encouraged to contact their regional manager with attendee names and to bring engineers or end users to the booth to support stronger customer engagement. 01:58 — Poly Level Radar Kit Overview The new Poly Level Radar Kit packages five key components under one stock number and provides a turnkey radar-level reading solution for tanks. 03:26 — Radar Kit Website Resources The Poly Level Radar Level Package is available on polyprocessing.com under Fittings and Accessories, where users can access marketing collateral. 03:53 — Plug-and-Play Installation and Bluetooth The radar kit is configured for the tank before shipment, requires no tools or calibration, and includes Bluetooth access for viewing tank level and history. 04:28 — Product Sheets Sales Support Resource Poly Processing is introducing product sheets as customer-ready sales-support flyers that provide details on specific stock-numbered products. Product sheets will be available in the P3 download section and can be identified through stock item descriptions in Budget Pricer, Item Lookup, and PolyQuote. 06:49 — New Ladder Page on PolyProcessing.com A new ladder page has been added to the website under Accessories with FRP and steel ladder drawings, platform options, OSHA safety information, and fall-restraint guidance. 07:29 — Ladder Safety and Platform Design The team explained that platform ladders typically stop 30 to 36 inches below the manway so operators can inspect or access instrumentation without climbing on top of the tank. 8:32 — Evaluating Whether a Ladder Is Needed Customers and distributors are encouraged to consider whether regular access to the tank is actually required before adding a ladder to a tank design. 08:59 — Website Blogs and Data Center Market Page Poly Processing continues to expand website blogs, including a new Data Centers on our market we serve page covering chemical storage tank uses in cooling tower treatment, chilled water systems, and wastewater management. Recent blogs highlight SAFE-Tank advantages, concerns with metallic tank inserts, and the importance of planning building layouts before tank installation or replacement. 10:56 — Large Fittings and Venting Design Criteria The team discussed challenges with large fittings, especially in fiberglass replacement applications where six-, eight-, or ten-inch inlets can complicate venting requirements. 11:17 — FS-2650 High-Capacity Venting The FS-2650 lid provides 2,650 CFM of venting through an eight-inch vent built into the manway and is recommended whenever it can be included in a tank design. 12:49 — FS-2650 Installation Options and Buffer Tanks The FS-2650 vent can be installed as part of a lid or separately on a flat tank area, making it especially important for buffer tanks that must evacuate displaced air quickly. 14:01 — New 3D Automated Drawing Format Brandon Harper introduced new drafting automation that creates fabrication drawings with isometric views and an additional 270-degree backside view for clearer tank layouts. 15:12 — Initial Drawing Rollout The new automated drawing format is currently focused on vertical tanks and standard fittings, with IMFO tanks, SAFE-Tanks, and slope-bottom tanks planned for future rollout. 15:37 — Customer Approval and Lead Time Benefits The enhanced drawings are intended to improve customer clarity, reduce revisions, support faster approvals, and decrease drawing lead times as the automation program expands.

Poly Processing News You Can Use, March 2026

Welcome to this edition of News You Can Use from Poly Processing Company. Below you'll find a summary of each segment from our latest podcast, along with timestamps so you can jump directly to the topics most relevant to you. [0:34]  Overflow Fitting Placement on Castle Runway Tanks Bob explains how properly locating the overflow at the end of a castle runway lets you maximize the full shell-length capacity of the tank. Randy adds that a reverse siphon leg inside an overflow fitting can also raise the effective fluid level even higher. [1:14]  FRP Ladder Drawings & Upcoming Ladder Landing Page Updated FRP ladder drawings — including both ladder attachment bracket options — are now live on the Poly Processing website. A dedicated ladder landing page covering all ladder and fall-restraint information is expected within the next 30-45 days. [1:43]  BABA (Buy America Build America) Certification Letter A standardized BABA certification letter, formatted to EPA requirements, is now available in the P3 download library under Manufacturing. This letter can be included directly in submittal packets or quotes for Buy America Build America projects. [2:47]  Whitelist @polyprocessing.com The team asks all distributor partners to whitelist @polyprocessing.com with their IT departments to ensure that announcements, product updates, and emails from Poly Processing do not end up in spam filters. [3:28]  Recommended PVC & CPVC Cement, Cleaner, and PTFE Tape Poly Processing recommends Weld-On 724 cement, Weld-On C65 cleaner, Hercules Tape Dope, and Blue Monster PTFE tape for all PVC and CPVC applications. [4:09]  Field Installation Review Service (Dan Comp) Orders of $150,000 or more automatically trigger an installation review call from Dan Comp to the job-site installer. Distributors can also manually flag any order for this service — or opt out of the automatic trigger — by notifying their inside salesperson or regional manager. [4:56]  NSF/ANSI CAN 61 Certification for Crosslink Polyethylene Potable Water Tanks Poly Processing has achieved NSF/ANSI CAN Standard 61 certification for potable water storage on three tank lines: PolyCL XLPE (natural), PolyCL Black, and PolyCL White. The official NSF letter is available on P3, and certified tanks ship with an NSF sticker and documentation. [6:47]  New 407 SAFE-Tank (Winchester, VA) The new 407 SAFE-Tank mirrors the popular 405 but features a four-flat dome configuration — one flat with a 7-inch buttress cap and three additional flats at 90°, 180°, and 270° — providing more options for pumps and fittings without custom verticals. It includes one pocket-fitting flat at the bottom sidewall, just like the 405. [8:02]  Using SAFE-Tank Internal Tanks as Standalone Primary Tanks & The Chop Top System; The internal tank from any SAFE-Tank set can be ordered separately as a primary tank, and the budget pricer on P3 lists all available internal tank options with actual capacities. The Chop Top option — cutting the internal tank to serve as a fitted lid for the outer tank — offers a cost-effective alternative to expensive fabricated lids. [9:21]  Desired Ship Date — Please Include on Purchase Orders Poly Processing schedulers are now tracking desired ship dates as a key input for weekly production planning. Distributors are encouraged to include a realistic desired ship date on every purchase order to help with forecasting and to improve on-time delivery. [10:24]  2026 Trade Show Calendar on the Poly Processing Website We've posted a full calendar of trade shows Poly Processing is attending in 2026 under About Poly Processing on our website; it currently lists 27 upcoming events. Please share any local trade shows not yet listed so we can add them with a link. [11:23]  Featured Distributor Spotlight: Sean Coholan of Goble Sampson Sean Coholan of Goble Sampson — covering Northern California and Northern Nevada — shares the strategies behind his consistent seven-figure annual sales with Poly Processing. Key takeaways include providing deep product education, differentiating on value rather than price, knowing your audience, and becoming a trusted technical advisor rather than just a price-quoter. [17:21]  Working with Engineers on Specifications Sean describes his approach of obtaining an engineer's existing baseline specification and marking it up directly with Poly Processing-specific language and features, rather than simply sending a generic example spec. The team also highlights Poly Processing's spec review service, where distributors can submit a customer's spec for expert comments and edits. [19:36]  Strengthening Specs with Exclusionary Language Sean explains the value of working with owners and engineers to include specific exclusionary language in specifications — for example, explicitly disallowing metal inserts that penetrate the tank wall — to prevent contractors from substituting inferior products during the submittal process. [21:43]  Upcoming Podcasts: Seismic Restraint Systems A product-focused News You Can Use episode covering new seismic restraint systems and 2026 IBC requirements is coming in the next 45–60 days. [22:36]  PolyQuote Reminder The team reminds all partners to get set up on PolyQuote if they haven't already, noting that tutorial videos are available and the tool is easy to use.

Poly Processing News You Can Use, December 2025

News You Can Use – December 2025 Your Monthly Brief from Poly Processing Welcome to this month’s News You Can Use! Our December edition is packed with quick updates, distributor tips, and end-of-year insights from the Poly Processing team. 🎧 Listen to the full podcast on Podbean News You Can Use: Heaviest SAFE-Tank, Leasing & Warranty Plays, Quote Booster, Tools, and 2025 Training 1) Product Spotlight: Our Heaviest Tank Set Product: 10,500 SAFE-Tank Weight at 1.9 SG: ~10,000 lbs (as listed on the website) Weight at 2.2 SG: ~12,200 lbs (full set) Important handling note: At 2.2 SG, the set weight can exceed the working load limits of many common crane straps and off-loading rigging. Action: If your order specifies heavy SAFE-Tanks, confirm all lift/rigging gear is rated appropriately and brief the off-loading team. Need guidance on rigging or handling? Contact your frontline representative. Poly Processing strongly recommends using a licensed and experienced construction rigger to offload and set the tanks safely. 2) Customer Financing: Leasing Options You Can Offer Many customers prefer to expense tanks monthly instead of using capital budgets. Consider partnering with an equipment leasing company (local or national) to package tanks into a monthly payment. How it works: Distributor is paid upfront; Poly Processing is paid as usual. Leasing company bills the customer monthly. Position it similar to “bundled” chemical contracts that include tanks/pumps within a monthly price. Benefits: Removes capital hurdles Simplifies approvals Helps win competitive deals  3) Extended Service Plans: Keep the Margin, Meet the Need Our warranty: Industry-leading 5-year full replacement (not prorated) Some customers ask for 7–10 years of coverage. Poly Processing does not extend beyond the current warranty; however, distributors may sell an extended service plan. How to structure it: Price against a conservative “worst-case” scenario in years 6–10 Consider help from Poly Processing on replacements at cost in rare cases Validate installation practices—installer responsibility can apply Most manufacturer defects present within the first few years Pro tips: Consult an attorney to draft your plan terms Keep it simple and clear: coverage window, what’s included/excluded, claim process Treat the premium as additional profit in most outcomes  4) Quote Booster: Win When You’re Being Shopped Use the Quote Booster in P3 to transform quotes into a mini-submittal with: Linked drawings and CAD files Tables/specs Photos and fittings Bullet-pointed value differentiation How to get it: Ask your frontline/account person: “Please Quote Boost this quote” You’ll receive a Word version you can edit, reuse, and brand Watch the video on Quote Booster here Download a sample Quote Booster quote for reference. When to use: Competitive situations New accounts Procurement-led evaluations  5) Track Orders Instantly: Poly Order Check URL: polyordercheck.com What it does: Self-serve status on your orders—ETA, ship timing, and more Tips: Bookmark it with your account number You can share with your customer for transparency Read the FAQs on the landing page for quick setup  6) Monday.com: Your Live Project Board Some distributors use it actively; others haven’t onboarded yet. monday.com provides: Visibility into drawing approvals Purchase order status Sales opportunities shared by your Regional Manager Early access to drafting drawings (often before they’re formally sent) Need access? Contact your Regional Manager for username/password setup 7) 2025 Field Service Training — Winchester, VA We’re hosting a focused, hands-on Field Service Training in Winchester in early 2025 (targeting February). Who should attend: Your field service technicians Anyone you want “factory trained” to work on Poly Processing tanks Help us tailor the agenda: Email: fieldservice@polyprocessing.com Include: Names, company, roles, and topics you want covered We have a base agenda and will incorporate your requests We’ll follow up with dates, agenda, travel info, and registration details.   Thank you for your partnership in 2025. You’ll find it under Slope Bottom Tanks on our site. 💡 Tune in at 00:33 for quick mold insights from Marshall. 🔢 Serial Number Flexibility 🎧 Listen at 00:38–01:42 Our serial number process has evolved! Instead of molding it into the wall, we now stamp serial numbers — allowing for custom placement (e.g., eye-level marking). Ideal for large tank farms and improved record keeping. You can even request stenciled serials for easier identification. 📚 Learn more: Search “Serial Number” on our blog for a detailed breakdown. 🎧 Podcast Download Tips 🎧 Tune in 01:45–02:51 Want to listen offline? You can now download all P3 podcasts directly from our Podbean site. Perfect for: Car rides Flights Gym sessions 💻 Pro tip: On the Podbean page, hit Ctrl+F and search for any keyword (e.g., heat trace, seismic) to find every episode where that topic appears. If you know you heard discussion on some previous podcast - this is how you find that episode!  📱 Tech Corner: iOS 26 Tools 🎧 Listen at 02:53–03:57 New iOS 26 feature alert: Now you can screen share during phone calls — ideal for showing: Tank drawings Gallery layouts Markup edits in real-time This feature enables one-on-one collaboration without a Zoom meeting. 🔧 Android users: try third-party tools like Mirroring 360 or Android Cast for similar functionality. 💡 Field Team End-of-Year Tips 🎧 Start at 04:02 Our outside sales and field service pros share their best insights for closing the year strong: 🚧 1. Turnkey Tank Installations 🎧 Bert Venner – 04:13–05:13 Did you know Poly Processing offers full-service tank installations? Submit a Tank Install RFQ via the Send dropdown on P3 to get contractor support and a complete turnkey project. 📍 Recent installs: 12 tanks in New York City 3 tanks in Virginia Lock in more sales by bundling install services! 🔁 2. Reconnect with Old Customers 🎧 Craig Roberts – 05:16–06:22 When leads slow down: Review old POs and offer free tank inspections Engage chemical suppliers — they often lead you back to potential tank users Stay proactive: replacements are often required every few years. 🧾 3. Finalize Pending Orders 🎧 Chris Shepherd – 06:47–07:16 Year-end success starts with clean order flow. Ensure: Drawings are approved Delays are flagged early PO's move to “Release to Manufacturing” quickly Goal: Ship every possible order before year-end! ⚖️ 4. Selling Against FRP (Fiberglass) 🎧 Bob Molitsky – 07:23–08:16 For tanks up to 10,000 gallons, Poly tanks hold both engineering and pricing advantages over FRP. Between 10K–15K gallons, lean on technical merits — reach out to your Regional Manager to position the sale effectively. 🧰 5. Field Insights: Venting & Flexible Connections 🎧 Dan Comp – 08:19–09:29 Watch for misaligned connections — don’t rely on expansion joints to correct them. Use the F.S.2650 vent as your go-to solution for larger tanks. Consider adding an extra access port for fill-rate pressure testing. This ensures safe venting and optimal fill efficiency. 📘 6. Empowering End Users with Smart Tools 🎧 Tony Grijalva – 09:54–10:46 Share the Smart Fit Guide with your end users — available under Fittings & Accessories on our website. It helps customers plan their own layouts for fittings and orientations, saving you setup time. 🎯 Wrap-Up 🎧 Listen at 10:51–end That’s it for November’s News You Can Use! Our 4100 slope-bottom tank was the star of the show — a real “cone bottom killer.” Only ~20% of cone bottom applications truly need a cone vs our IMFO, a better choice. The sloped bottom tank saves space, eliminates stand maintenance, and increases volume 📍 Also discussed at 02:57: The IMFO base can double as a stand replacement for smaller day tanks — a big cost saver. 🧰 Field Service Certifications — Get Your Team Factory Certified [Timestamp: 00:03:32–00:04:44] We’re expanding our factory certification program for your service technicians. If your team installs or services tanks: Nominate your top hands-on employees We’ll train them directly or through a “train-the-trainer” model Certified techs will have credentials on file and may be offered field opportunities 📧 Contact your Regional Manager to submit names to Dan Comp for inclusion. ⚗️ New Field Service Document — Scrubber Solution Guidelines [Timestamp: 00:04:50–00:05:47] A new guideline document is now available in the P3 Forum: “Changing Out Your Scrubber Solution” It outlines when and how to replace saturated scrubber solutions, and safe handling after change-out. You’ll find links in this newsletter and under News on P3. 💡 At 06:05, consider adding a small amount of caustic to scrubber water for improved effectiveness—contact your Regional Manager for recommended ratios. 🧴 Creative Safe Tank Applications — Open-Top Configurations [Timestamp: 00:07:00–00:08:55] We’re now offering the Safe Tank Outer Tank as an open-top tank and lid combo. Works like a “mushroom” lid that drops in place Great for applications requiring easy media access or removable top covers Budget pricing available on P3 (select outer tank only) Perfect for installations needing durable, reinforced open-top tanks. 🔄 Mixing & Agitation Systems — Blog & Updates [Timestamp: 00:09:00–00:10:29] Our latest blog post covers three types of mixing systems: Mechanical Mixers (motor + impeller) Large Bubble Mixing Systems Pump Recirculation For gentle mixing (like magnesium hydroxide), we now offer bubble mixer systems through our partners. Work through your Regional Manager to quote or bundle with tanks. 💡 At 10:34, Bob reminds everyone: “Always request mixer bridges and brackets — it helps secure full tank packages". When mixer bridge "provided by manufacturer"- only PPC can do it, less cost, better integration, and simplified!  🏁 Wrapping Up [Timestamp: 11:20] That’s it for October’s News You Can Use! Thanks to everyone who engaged with us at WEFTEC and continues to push the Poly Processing brand forward. Stay tuned for November’s edition — and remember, all links and resources mentioned here are available on P3.
