    WILL BREASTFEEDING HURT?

    Breastfeeding is a skill both mum and baby learn together. Two strangers coming together, getting to know each other at each feed. It can be challenging, intense, emotional and it come sometimes hurt whilst you are both learning.  Why does it hurt? Well it is all about how you position and attach your baby at the Breast. If this is right it should feel ok and if it isn't quite right you will know.  This podcast explores: What is breastfeeding likely to be like in the early days. What does it feel like? If you experience pain, what is happening and why. How to keep breastfeeding going whilst you mend yourself. When and where to get support. (P.S.     Coming home with your baby can be a daunting experience alongside the excitement.  In this  podcast we talk about: How and why we feel overwhelmed and how to cope in the early days. Who and what can help get breastfeeding established. We explore the questions we get asked regularly e.g what if I don't have enough milk? What to do when breastfeeding hurts. (This episode has been recorded on Zoom as Anne and I are both self isolating. Bear with us as the recording is a bit hit and miss!
