    S1 E5: More job profiles!

Here are the links to the clips I used for my Language Diary translations: For my news story for this episode, I searched on https://freelanguage.org/news and would highly recommend this website for everything language learning, whether as a teacher or student! I also highly recommend the website https://www.languagepolicy.org/ to continue to follow this story, as I will cover in further episodes!

  2. 03/04/2020

    S1 E4: Welcome to March!

In this episode, I cover my March WOTM and 3 translations from across the web relating to my season theme of food, alongside some language news! Here is the link to the news story: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/12/191219142735.htm

    S1 E3: Something a little different!

So I did something a little different for this episode, specifically with my Language Diary but also in general with the format of the episode, For my language diary, I transcribed a few different sections of clips from all over the web, and I found the Language Diary on this website: https://cantolounge.com/languages-most-important-skill/ I highly recommend that you check out Cantolounge, as even for someone who Mandarin and Cantonese are not my primary or even secondary languages, I found it very informative and generally it is a good community!

Do you eat lunch every day? 8. What do you not like to eat? I hope you like the first app review and as always if you have any comments or criticism, I am all ears as a relative newbie!

S1 E1: Languages are wonderfully unique, let's embrace the weirdness!

These are the questions from my Language Diary: 1. What is your favourite food? 2. Which country would you like to visit just for the food? 3. What do you eat at the weekend? 4. What do you eat on your holidays? 5. Are there any foods that you don't like? 6. What food would you like to try? 7. Which foods are popular where you live? The Second Episode: Here's to many more!

So this it, the second episode of Life of A Polyglot and the conclusion of the episodes for the month of January, I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed making it! In this episode, I cover my Language Diary: 1. Describe a good friend.  2. Who are more important, your friends or your family? 3. Do you get on well with your family? 4. What do you do with your family at the weekend? 5. Why is it important to spend time with your family? 6. Describe someone in your family. 7. Would you like to have a big family (in the future?) 8. What plans do you have with your friends or with your family this weekend? And I also cover the news story that the entries for French and German courses throughout the US and the UK have been in steady decline for the past 15 years and we can't rely on English post-Brexit even with allies with the US and their brand-spanking new trade deal! (don't worry I don't get too political!)

The First Episode: To New Beginnings

So this is it, the podcast I've been thinking about making for a long time,  I hope it will become a long-standing favourite among multilinguists and those new to the world of language learning, such as myself, and I apologise in advance for the sound quality... I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoy making this first venture into the world of podcasting, See you on the other side, Matt.
