The Reclaimers

Abuse survivors and those in current abusive relationships have enough to worry about. Enough stresses. Enough fears and threats. This podcast teaches how to recognize abusive tactics while also teaching, in a non-confrontational storytelling way, tools for people to feel empowered to get out of, and avoid those relationships. Aside from that, I enjoy all the places the narrative of The Reclaimers takes my brain. I enjoy imagining a possible future world where things like emotional abuse and manipulation is easily exposed, and prosecuted. It’s podcasts like "The Reclaimers” that show me what media *can* be. More importantly, what it *should* be.

There are so many amazing things about this podcast. Life is always so hurtful especially when we have life happen, or events happening around us. It is so easy to get caught up in emotions and the struggle. This podcast at least helps me to understand and receive tools to help deal with emotions in my life. But more importantly I feel compassion for so many in their life going through issues and I feel the need to help others even more in seeing a new view of life. It is so easy to judge others for being who they are based off our past experiences, and the pain they may cause in our lives however it really means we have a painful perception in our lives and it only holds us back. These stories are so helpful to change perspectives and make the world a better place. I know this podcast will be a catalyst, I would like to see it grow so much more with new stories we will be able to see additional ideas and perceptions. This making the world better all the time.

Engaging story paired well with techniques to guide healing and strength. If you have any interaction with any other humans, you should give it a listen. Definitely worth the time spent.

This podcast has been wonderful to listen to. Coming from an abuse survivor, it’s been so helpful and healing to listen to other experiences and relate them to what I’ve been through. I’m able to take so many tools and mechanisms not just from Pheeny and Persy but from so many of the survivors at the Haven. Yes, there have been triggering episodes. But in all the episodes it’s a wonderful feeling to know I’m not alone. And that one day, in the not so distant future, emotional abuse will be treated as the crime it is.
