IN THE NEWS - GEORGE MAMBAMA & THE 32/16 MURDER CASE

IN THE NEWS - GEORGE MAMBAMA & THE 32/16 MURDER CASE

Where are we going as a nation? In my opinion Zambia is turning into a hateful country, with cyber bullying on the rise and people abusing each other there is need to stop and reevaluate ourselves as a people. Why do you feel the need to laugh at someone's abuse? Why do you see a reason to justify the death of a 16 year old girl at the hands of a 32 year old man?? It's time to refocus. THE PLAGUE CALLED COVID-19 (A Zambian problem)

THE PLAGUE CALLED COVID-19 (A Zambian problem)

Does the majority of Zambia have the privilege of social distancing? With so many people living in unplanned settlements and not having proper water supply or basic hygiene amenities is the #washyourhands campaign really an unattainable reach. Has covid just brought to light the terrible state our country is in socially and economically. THE POWER OF YOUR VOICE - have you used it right ?

THE POWER OF YOUR VOICE - have you used it right ?

Before I begin please excuse my voice and aloofness I was sick during the recording. In this episode I talk about how Zambians react to situations that are damaging to society. I ask the question whether or not we have used our voice correctly as a people or if we have given power to our oppressors by remaining silent. Feminism is not just equal pay, it's also being able to look at another woman and not thinking that her life choices are wrong because they don't meet your standard. It's standing up to your Aunts when they tell you the ultimate goal in your life is marriage. ZAMBIA : THE DISASTER WE CREATED

ZAMBIA : THE DISASTER WE CREATED

I have spent a lot time thinking and wondering why Zambia after five decades of 'freedom' still hasn't experienced the freedom that is should . So in my first episode I decided that we could really get into the why and how we as citizens outside of the government can change Zambia. Listen to this podcast and let's make change .🇿🇲?follow my Instagram @ihostapodcast and on twitter @Excusemyzambian

yours truely ,

A blessing to listen to.

I’ve only just listened to the first two podcasts so far, but this is a fantastic source of respectful honesty and wisdom that I have really enjoyed listening to so far. I’m a caucasian man born and raised in the USA, so I can not relate directly on a personal level to things like Zambia’s cultural impacts on the rights and social standing of women (discussed in the second podcast). However, I’m blessed with an amazing Zambian girlfriend who I only just returned from visiting in Lusaka a week ago. Her and I have had many discussions around family and faith, but there are many things discussed here just in the first two podcasts that we really haven’t discussed much. This podcast is very interesting to me as it opens my eyes to the perspective of another wise Christian sister in Zambia speaking to the current events and issues of culture, race, sexism, etc. in Zambia. Many of these issues are evident on a global scale, but they can look different culturally here in the US. I’m looking forward to sharing this with my gf, Abby Bwalya, and discussing her views on these same issues. Thank you for investing in this, Ruth, you are educating me so far in listening and encouraging action and advocacy. God bless you!
