    HOME VALUES: Building a Home, Not Just a House

    This message opens Psalm 127, a song King Solomon wrote as families made their way up to worship at the temple. Solomon built more than anyone in his day — palaces, cities, even the temple itself — yet by the end of his life he called it all vanity, because for all he built, he never built a true home. The sermon asks a simple but piercing question: are we building a house, or are we building a home? The main point is that an anxious home is built on self-reliance and stays busy managing life, while a blessed home is built on the Lord and centers on relationships — Jesus first, family second, work and activities after that.     HOME VALUES: A Healthy Marriage, A Living Portrait of the Gospel

    HOME VALUES: The Design

    MORE TO THE STORY: The Parable of the Prodigal Son

    This sermon walks through one of the most familiar stories Jesus ever told — the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15. Set against the backdrop of Pharisees grumbling that Jesus welcomed sinners, the story reveals a father whose love for both a reckless younger son and a resentful older son is far more extravagant than either son deserved. The main point is simple but powerful: the story isn't really about how far a sinner can run, but about how far God's grace can reach.
