    C E Hoffman was born, gave birth, and tried to die in Edmonton, AB (not necessarily in that order.)     44. Remembering Diana Hemingway

    December 17th is International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers. Started in Seattle in 2003 by Dr. Annie Sprinkle and SWOP-USA as a tribute to the victims of the Green River Killer, December 17th has become a global movement. Between now and the 17th, I’ll post mini episodes in rememberance of a sex worker lost to violence. The two demographics share obstacles regarding constant misrepresentation and the threat of reactionary government and prosecutorial overreach.     38. Remembering Maxine Showers

    Part Eight of our December 17th - International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers series.  On September 27th, 2015 a 42 year old working mother went out on a call to see a client. Maxine Showers of Liverpool, England left for work and never came home. Her murder alleged he'd punched her when she tried to rob him, and that she left of her own accord.
