Ride The Vibe is a podcast, hosted by Michael Litten, “The Last DJ”. The show is produced by Mike Natchus and Giuseppe Colato from the one of a kind, state of the art Sandbox Studio South. Social media coordinated by James Thomas. The show features an “old school” listening party format. We encourage listeners to sit back with a glass of their favorite beverage, while we play a sample of the guest’s original songs and then chat with them about all things music, think digital liner notes. The show features a wide range of local, national and international artists. In the studio we enjoy Cathead Distillery and Drinkmate beverages.

Andy’s playing appears on nine Grammy Award nominated and three Grammy winning albums, as well as a platinum album with Rihanna a #1 Jazz Radio album with Monty Alexander’s Harlem-Kingston Express, and a #1 Billboard Folk Chart album with Natalie Merchant. In addition his credits include at least 200 more albums and 2500 songs over a career entering its fifth decade. In 2003, he was honored by the Jamaica Federation of Musicians for Outstanding Contributions to the Jamaican Music Industry, one of the only-non Jamaicans to receive this award. www.andybassford.com

    Ride The Vibe S8:E9 - Karla Harris

    Host Michael Litten, welcomes the highly acclaimed recording and performing artist Karla Harris and her collaborator Tyrone Jackson to Ride the Vibe where they share six tracks from their new album MERGE. Karla Harris is known for buttery vocals, dynamic delivery and nuanced storytelling in song.  A passionate educator in addition to performing, Harris was named a 2024 recipient of Atlanta Magazine’s “Women Making a Mark” award in recognition of her jazz outreach and education programs. In April 2025, she was one of 29 individuals from across North America named a “Jazz Hero” by the Jazz Journalists Association. In 2017, Harris joined the Jazz Studies department of Kennesaw State University as an artist-in residence and initiated the Vocal Jazz studio there. They discuss the ideas, personnel and real-life processes that led to the making of this stunning and unique record.     Niagara Falls USA born EMI-Japan/Nippon Crown recording artist, Tim Donahue has enjoyed a multi-faceted career, releasing 10 solo albums and a major movie soundtrack with the Tokyo Philharmonic, producing countless TV commercials & documentary music in Japan and performing around the world. The nomination of Tim’s debut album to JAZZIZ Magazine’s Top 5 jazz releases set Tim on course to being the world’s premier electric harp guitarist, for which he is known today. We play his great new album ETV ONE in it's entirety as Tim intended it to be heard directly from the master recording.
