Guitars And Stolen Cars is a new podcast where we explore renegade rock n roll history. Each season will be a deep dive on a single topic, looking at the music, the history, and the surrounding world.     England's Dreaming

    In 1977, The Ramones release two classic albums, tour America, Europe and hope for the elusive radio hit.  Sire records fully embraces punk and new wave.  English punk develops further as The Sex Pistols become the #1 band in England.   Support the show

    Road To Ruin

    In 1978 The Ramones and The Sex Pistols toured America.  The Ramones play 150 shows.  The Sex Pistols play 7.  The Ramones get a new drummer and record another classic album, still hoping for the illusive radio hit.  Sid Vicious gives punk music a bad name.    Support the show

    End Of The 70's

    The Ramones make the movie Rock & Roll High School but it's not without incident.  They tour America and play shows opening for bigger bands ranging from Aerosmith to The Police.  They finally agree to record with Phil Spector  - the Ramones make it to the 1980's.   Support the show

    Not So Pleasant Dreams

    The Ramones continue to make great albums in the 1980's but inter-band drama heats up, dubious business decisions are made and a few legendary people get fired.   Support the show

    The Ramones get a new drummer.  Then loose a drummer.  And then get an old drummer.  Dee Dee starts rapping but trouble is brewing.  The Ramones trek on through the 1980’s. Support the show
