Repeats and Hard to Hear
Tales of the Texas Rangers is one of my new favorite old time radio shows. The episodes are fantastic and Joel McCrea captivates my attention.
This podcast has repeat episodes scattered throughout like the White Elephant episode. The audio on some is garbled and hard to understand. Static doesnt bother me or scratchy audio, but this is something else. I thought it was my headphones going bad at first.
Audio is trash
I listened to 5 episodes that had decent audio. The rest sounds like a recording made with two boomboxes next to each other using cassette tapes from the 70s.
Great Show // Horrible Sound
Tales of the Texas Rangers is a wonderful radio Western, but this is not where to listen to it!
I’m not sensitive to bad sound in these old radio shows, but here, in some of the episodes, you can’t hear what’s going on or what people are saying.
